Continuing the topic dedicated to the development and education of girls, begun by the articles: Why do princesses bite? and Psychological pitfalls of a junior schoolgirl, I would like to write about teenage girls who increasingly began to turn to psychologists, including me, on various issues. Among the classic requests related to self-esteem, acceptance of one’s figure, appearance, relationships with parents (which , of course, almost everyone, according to the girls, is “abusers”), relationships with classmates, girls are increasingly interested in issues of same-sex love, citing the heroines of famous TV series, for example, “The Owl House,” where Luz and Amity (two girls) are in a love affair communications. Using the example of these heroines, we can analyze the chain of events that led them to this relationship, and if we look closely, we will see all the problems of the life of modern teenagers, which can be unfolded as follows (I do not pretend to be unambiguous and complete). 1. According to my observations, girls with similar requests have a difficult relationship with a mother who shows coldness, used strict punishments, distances herself from her daughter, expresses contempt, and devalues her successes. The girl seeks solace among her peers, where she gets her first intimate experience, which can develop into a long-term relationship. All this unfolds against the backdrop of obvious and hidden propaganda of same-sex love through books, films, videos, which create a kind of “nutrient medium” for such relationships. 2. Problems in communication with peers, inability and reluctance to overcome one’s psychological deficits, to grow personally and spiritually, and replacing them with the search for “portals to other worlds, virtual, mystical, etc.” and, of course, fleeing there, finding his “family” there. Change beyond recognition, falling under the spell of odious characters (in real life these are criminal elements, mentally abnormal adults who, through manipulation, ingratiate themselves into the trust of a naive teenager and use him). 3. A distorted image of the world in which the closest (family members) ) - enemies, lack of socialization, a naive desire to save, come to the aid of strangers, inadequate and strange people, to change the “injustice of the world”, leads to internal breakdowns and nervous breakdowns, and sometimes to tragedy. 4. Intellectual problems, which are expressed in primitivism of thinking, lack of critical thinking, inability to “turn on the brain” in dangerous situations, a sense of false security, easy suggestibility, etc. Teenage crises have existed at all times, however, in the last few years they acquired a particularly gloomy character that could baffle even professional psychologists with extensive experience. I don’t want to send such teenagers for consultation with a psychiatrist, you fight to the last for each child, but sometimes it’s too late and he needs medical help to get him out of the psychological nightmare in which he lives.
