Children's brains develop unevenly. For the correct formation of higher structures, the lower ones must first mature. Let us recall the biological law: “each individual in ontogenesis repeats all stages of phylogenesis characteristic of its species.” This means that in our individual development we go through the entire evolutionary path of humanity in a compressed form. Our ancestors were tree monkeys who moved by jumping from branch to branch. It is believed that it was the joint work of the visual and muscular apparatus that became the prerequisite for the development of the brain. This means that the child’s development should be built in accordance with this logic. For a baby, it is important to build the boundaries of the body and psyche. This requires skin-to-skin contact with others, as well as contact with different environments - massages, swimming and bathing, and light gymnastics are good at this age. A little later, the task of mastering the rhythm arises - the children happily clap to the beat and dance. The main task of a preschooler is to master his body - coordination of movements, a variety of sensations from various receptors - in muscles, bones, and the vestibular apparatus - are important here. Children at this age enjoy jumping and climbing, testing the limits of their physical capabilities. Later, these motor acts will become the basis for more precise fine motor skills. In their work, neuropsychologists are often faced with the fact that a child has difficulties with writing, attention, or learning in general, associated with skipping developmental stages or insufficient mastery of body functions. So the baby did not roll over, but immediately sat down, did not crawl, but immediately stood up, did not master the skill of throwing objects, etc. This means that the necessary connections have not been formed in his nervous system, there is no foundation for proper development. For actions that had a biological benefit, our brain gives rewards in the form of hormones that cause pleasure. The main criterion that the body is performing an important task is that the child likes it. Body movement is a natural source of joy. The most important thing at each stage of physical development is not to scare, not to discourage the desire to move, not to turn joy into disgust. The choice of a coach, the group in which the child is engaged, the presence of physical characteristics, state of health and well-being, and the amount of total workload also play a role here. Parents should remember that playing sports is not necessary for achievements. Not everyone will become a great athlete. The child should have the opportunity to change the sport if it no longer satisfies his interest, and change the team if there is psychological discomfort. In pedagogy, the goal of education is perfectly formulated - to raise a healthy, comprehensively developed personality. Why sport can be an excellent effective tool.
