From the author: Although this article is about how to feed children, I think that adults need to feed themselves the same way - offer themselves different foods to choose from and eat only what you want (and as much as you want ). Then the weight will always be in order :) Article from the site I don’t know about you, but I start to get nervous when a precious child refuses to eat a lovingly prepared lunch. My mother also got nervous when I refused to eat, so she pushed food into me with persuasion and threats. I decided that I would never force my children to eat (or finish eating) if they didn’t want to. Therefore, when anxiety appeared inside me because of my child’s “eating nothing,” I found myself at a crossroads - this anxiety ran counter to my principle of non-violence. I puzzled for a long time about how to resolve this internal conflict. It was only when I read this post that I realized that I (and many other mothers) were misinterpreting my concerns about the child’s nutrition. It seems to me that this anxiety is instinctive. And really - who will feed the child if not the mother, especially if he is still small and cannot get (cook) food on his own? But for me there was only one way out of this anxiety - to force the child to eat what was prepared. And now I think, that there is another, more reliable and comfortable way out - instead of stuffing any food into the baby, you need to give him the opportunity to choose what he wants to eat. The task of adults is to offer the child a wide variety of products. And he will eat them himself. And, by the way, a person’s appetite is not intended to eat as much food as possible, but to choose from the available food products the most necessary products for the body at the moment - and eat them.
