The right to exist is the first right that we perceive. “I am worthy to live because I was already born.” This right is reinforced by the fact that, having gone through the perinatal period and the process of childbirth itself, we believe that we have already earned our existence. Although full awareness of this right comes later. At the initial stage of life, it is perceived as a direct broadcast of our birth experience, which pushes us to strengthen our right to exist, to find our place in new conditions of reality. The instinct of self-preservation is no small help in the development of this right. Thus, the right to “be” is presented as a positive antithesis to the fear of death. As a result, the child perceives the need to live as a given that does not require proof.
