From the author: This is the very first story with which the acquaintance with Susie and her friends begins. In 2010, a practical guide for specialists and parents was published with a series of thematic stories. I would like to bring to the attention of parents one of the psychotherapeutic (correctional) stories, originally written by me for my daughter, and then I began to write such stories for my little clients. Meeting Susie, or how Susie was angry and cried.© A. Bondarovich In one beautiful city The girl Susie lives with her mom and dad, the dog Charlie, the cat Murzik and the hamster Boni. Susie is a very ordinary girl with long blond hair, large blue-green eyes and a nice nose covered with large freckles. More than anything else, Susie loved watching cartoons. Every weekend she got up early to ask her mom and dad to play cartoons for her. Today Susie wanted more than anything to watch cartoons and color coloring books. It lifted her spirits. Suzy loved her cartoon friends very much. Susie was sure that today mom or dad would turn on a lot of cartoons for her, and they themselves would continue to sleep. And then Susie will be able to watch cartoons as much as she wants. She asked dad to turn on the TV, but... the TV wouldn’t turn on. “Oh, no!” Susie thought. “I still want to watch cartoons!” “Turn it on, Dad!” Do something!” Susie shouted. “Calm down, Susie, something happened to our TV and now we won’t be able to watch cartoons.” “Oh, no!” Susie whined, “I want to watch my favorite cartoons!” Then she slammed the door and went into her room crying. Susie lay down on the bed and buried her nose in the pillow and quietly whimpered. “Oh, how angry I am with this TV!” And at you too, dad!” Susie sniffled through tears. “You feel angry because the TV is broken and you won’t be able to watch cartoons.” But you got the opportunity to draw. Do you want to draw together? “I don’t want to draw!” Susie cried even more. I don’t want to! -Then I’ll leave you so you can get angry. It's okay to be angry. You can get angry and then draw if you want. You can cry if you feel better and the anger goes away. Tears are also normal. All people cry, and there is nothing wrong with that. “I’m angry and crying because I’m offended by you and the TV,” Susie answered. Questions for discussion: “How do you think you can help Susie?” “How can you cheer up a person who crying? (tell a funny story, read a funny poem, offer a funny game, etc..)
