The law of rationality and expediency (evolution) is that the best possible exists (is, is being realized). The very fact of the existence of something proves the consistency of this something and its right to exist. Any way of building relationships that a person practices is the result of this law. Like any of his underlying actions. Does this mean that nothing else can be criticized? No, that doesn't mean it. The decision to criticize, if you practice it, is the result of the same law of rationality and expediency. What cannot exist does not exist, and if relationships are created and continue, then they are potentially advancing for each participant in the relationship. Probably there are “quantum leaps” - incredible enlightenment not through the experience of practice, but in some other way, but I I'm not sure, this is the exception rather than the rule. And the rule for me is this: a person changes in the series of experiences of his personal activity acquired and comprehended by him. What we are and what we do is the best possible at the moment here and now. But the fascination with the word “best” is not destined to last long - relationships with others will constantly indicate to each of us the available zones of proximal development. And it will never end :) How well we cope with these “instructions” will be told by our feelings - excitement about novelty or apathy, a feeling of walking in circles or a feeling of pride in ourselves. By the way, working with a psychologist is a good way to comprehend your life experience.
