How resistance kills happiness! Is this so!? The human psyche is designed in such a way that in order to achieve something, a person goes through a certain cycle of contact in which energy is generated. Yes, the same energy that gives us the strength to make contact with what we want. Contact with what we want can be not only a conversation with another person, but also forgiveness of a loved one, buying a car, fulfilling a dream or satisfying some need. But it also happens that a person has some subjective factors that generate resistance in making that very contact, thereby preventing the desired from happening (satisfying the need), extinguishing the energy to complete the contact. If there is no desired, there is no happiness! (In simple terms) But, I would like to note that resistance in this case is most often unconscious and impulsive, it is not realized due to habit: it’s just something that is customary to do throughout one’s life. After all, even resistance on the path to happiness is done by a person for self-preservation, since it is safer this way. And the new is scary and unknown. Thus, resistance serves that group of needs that a person is not aware of, although this need is actually more important than the realized needs at a given moment in time and also makes it easier to adapt to the situation. A person falls into this circle of misfortune, without understanding how. It is in such moments that psychologists help, who show, unearth, and pay attention. This process can be called whatever you like. After therapy, the client himself decides to remove this need, which will extinguish the energy before completing the contact, or leave it and live like this further, realizing that such resistance exists and what it represents. After all, our resistance does not always need to be removed, because the psyche invented it for some reason, at least first we need to investigate what it is for. There are different requests and different degrees of resistance, sometimes we just need to get rid of them, and sometimes, on the contrary, resistance is necessary for ourselves.
