Fear is a natural and protective reaction of the body to a visually recorded or imagined danger. I think that no one wants to part with the reaction to objective danger, since without this basic tool of self-preservation a person exposes himself to a real risk to his life. But many would like to part with imaginary, irrational fear. Some of us are tormented by phobias, others by the fear of obsessive states. Whatever the basis of this phenomenon, fear itself prevents us from living, functioning normally in society and makes our life limited and uncomfortable. If we are afraid, for example, of spiders (arachnophobia, a fairly common phenomenon), then many unpleasant restrictions arise in our life. Any trip to nature, to the countryside, is associated with severe discomfort. Even seemingly basic house cleaning is fraught with tension, since every minute HE will jump out of the corner... Is there a way to cope with FEAR on your own? Eat! And I am happy to share it with you. As they say, it has been tested on itself. 😊 For many years, I, like many of my clients, suffered from this very notorious arachnophobia. So much so that I couldn’t be in the same room with this insect until someone destroyed it, saving me. Every time you need to be rescued, it’s such a pleasure, as you understand. I studied many techniques for working with this phobia, but was not ready for hypnotherapy to work effectively... and continued my search until I delved deeper into logotherapy. What was proposed seemed so obvious and simple at first glance... which did not inspire confidence as an effective technique... But my conclusions were hasty. Give fear a NAME! All you have to do is give the fear a name. Impersonal, terrifying, it envelops you completely and absorbs you... Your task is to look at it as a concrete object. Whether it's a spider or a growing feeling of anxiety from waiting for an attack of PA. Give this object or phenomenon that frightens you a NAME. We are distrustful of wild animals, but we are touched by our pets because they have a name and are part of our family. By giving fear a name, you stop perceiving it as something alien, alien, unpredictable and frightening... you find a place for it in your system of objective interaction. He ceases to be impersonal. You get to know him, watch him, as if he were your pet, who sometimes plays around and causes you some discomfort with his behavior, but does not frighten you. From the moment all spiders received the name “Yashki” and acquired the right to live as pets, they stopped looking scary. And now sometimes they play the role of a YOYO toy for me and my children 😊 The anxiety that you experience when the PA approaches, having also received your NAME and the image of a small capricious and not always obedient pet, which with its behavior sometimes interferes with your body and attracts attention to itself, because wants to play with you and is bored, it also ceases to be scary. You can induce this state yourself and “play” with her when it is convenient for you, and let her understand that at other times it is not appropriate. Try it! If you need help adjusting this internal dialogue, write to me. Let there be fewer forced restrictions in your life and your comfort zone expand.
