Photo from the collection of free images Pixabay.Com I’m starting a new series of articles for a future book. The working title is "Tideroboketader: Free your brain and don't end up in a mental hospital." Sounds good, especially the first word! I came up with it about 4 years ago. I read somewhere, a long time ago, that new unusual words are invented by crazy people. I mean, nuts. Well, that means I'm crazy! Just like those who come up with the names of the brands “Givenchy”, “Shiseido” and so on. We are all psychotic nuts, this guy’s beater! So why free this very brain? And free from what? Why? Not everyone needs this. And it is necessary for those who are engaged in creative activities. In any field: art, scientific research, innovative business, social projects. It is important for such people to be able to generate original ideas. To bring them into reality, if possible, and thus make the world a better place. And make money, how can we do without it! Free us from what? From three things: Firstly, from template thinking, from the habit of this type of thinking. When thinking, in essence, is a repetition of something heard or read somewhere and once... Repetition in other words, but in any case - the parrot does the same thing. There are two bases for template thinking: deeply embedded in a person, during upbringing and socialization, fear of wrong thoughts (sometimes they say “self-censorship” - this is not at all a conscious stop to unacceptable behavior, it is much worse - an unconscious interruption of “wrong” thoughts); the existing “picture of the world”, which is either firmly driven into the head if a person studied in a totalitarian school, or it is cleverly built in, as if the person himself came to such conclusions, in the case of a “democratic” education system (what he “came to himself” is not questioned). I will gradually write about all this (the preparations are already there ).Secondly, from the habit of thinking with an eye on others. And if other thoughts do not approve, the brain does not develop them, but suppresses them, as if “extinguishing them.” That is, the thinking of most people is not free, but takes into account the opinions of others. Thirdly, from the illusion of knowledge. As Stephen Hawking said, I think everyone knows what kind of comrade he is: “The main enemy of knowledge is not ignorance, but the illusion of knowledge.” And he’s absolutely right. And for a snack. Liberation is, of course, good. The question is that any process has its costs. And by freeing the brain, you can get into trouble if the liberator gets carried away and does or says something “wrong.” You can also be imprisoned for words. A natural question arises: how to avoid such troubles? All these burning topics for a small number of creative individuals will be covered in my future book. This article is included in the book “Tideroboketeider: Free your brain and don’t eat cuckoo” Here it is on Litres
