From the author: How long will I be treated? The question is quite common. You can find the answer for yourself in this article. Sexological treatment is in many ways similar to psychological counseling or psychotherapy. How deep the elaboration will be depends on a number of factors. They also determine the duration of the course of treatment. And it can be very different. Among the main factors that influence the duration of treatment are the following: * the nature of the disorder, * its duration, depth, * the degree of motivation for treatment, * the personal characteristics of the person himself, * the presence of internal energy resources, * the availability of temporary and financial resources. Additional individual factors are also likely. Based on all this, the specialist determines the tactics of further therapy. It may be more aimed at working through psychological problems, or have a more sex therapeutic sound. Or it can harmoniously combine both of these sides, which is what most often happens in practice. There are a number of issues that can be corrected relatively quickly (2-5-10 meetings). These are mild NOT long-term fears and anxieties. For example, the syndrome of anxious anticipation of sexual failure (STOSN). In some cases, pain during sexual intercourse. But if we are talking about such deep states as lack of orgasm, desire, arousal, reluctance to have sex, then this is a long and quite deep work. The duration is approximately six months of regular (!) psychotherapy. And here it is psychotherapy, because Such disorders are closely related to the very structure of personality and psychological development. One might even say psychological maturity. No magical sex techniques will work in isolation. From the point of view of the psyche, in the absence of sufficient maturity, it’s like asking a 5-year-old girl to have sex. The girl simply won’t understand what they want from her. And it’s incomprehensible to the psyche when they tell her about poses and settings, and even explain that this should bring unearthly bliss. The brain may agree. But the material expression of the psyche and the most important source of pleasure - the body - will not feel this in any way. And the task of working together is to psychologically raise the girl to a woman. What has not happened in decades will happen in specially created therapeutic conditions. And this takes time. From six months and more. I have described the most common and most polar options. Of course, there are always individual characteristics and requests that make their own adjustments. As a conclusion, I would like to say that deep and qualitative changes require * time, * focused attention and * actions aimed at correcting existing violations. And then everything will definitely work out. And you will be able to thank yourself for the source of pleasure you have found and returned to yourself. Pleasure and enjoyment from yourself and your partner. And a survey on the topic. The survey is anonymous) If necessary, would you turn to a sexologist for help? It will give you the opportunity; shame will still not help; it’s scary
