From the author: This article was published in the May issue of Fashionable Balashikha magazine. You can’t have too many toys. When we go to children’s stores, our eyes run wide from the countless number of toys. Many parents often repeat that they did not have even 1/10 of the toys they wanted, and therefore want to provide everything so that the child does not feel deprived. How can we, parents, not get lost when choosing toys, what should we be guided by and maintain the golden mean with the number of purchases, we will learn from the advice of psychologist Larisa Ivanovna Kasyanova. What a wonderful time we live in, how many opportunities we have with you, what a wonderful choice different ones offer toy manufacturing companies - from the simplest to the incredibly complex and expensive! When we are expecting the birth of a child, especially our firstborn, we are ready to throw the whole world at his feet, or rather, all our means, so that the child grows up to be the smartest, quickest, most creative, so that he surprises us with his imagination. And we join the exciting, dizzying race “Buy your child the best toy.” A little time will pass, and we suddenly discover that the children's room resembles a warehouse of bunnies, bears, musical instruments, knockers, rattles - you can open your own store. At every age, a child really needs toys that stimulate and help his development. In the first year of life, the more diverse the toys, the more information about the world we put into the child’s brain. Let them knock, whistle, rattle with different sounds, have different shapes, be smooth, rough, cold, wooden, plastic, have different colors. A person experiences this world through 5 sensory channels: sound, visual, gustatory, tactile and olfactory. Let them work to their full potential! By providing an influx of new impressions, sensory education contributes not only to the development of the senses, but also to the overall physical and mental development of the child. It is known that with a lack of impressions, infants experience “sensory hunger,” leading to delays in overall development. But we must also understand that mastering all the diversity of this world at once is problematic. And if the set of toys on offer is too large or changes frequently, it is difficult for the child to concentrate and concentrate. When buying toys, it is advisable to focus not only on the visual effect of the toy and its useful properties, but also on the level of safety. Take a close look at rubber toys: the paint should not peel off when in contact with water - the baby just needs to bite, chew and perform various manipulations with them. A toy whose paint comes off so easily may not be safe. Set aside such toys for a later period, when the need to put everything in your mouth has passed. You should also be wary of toys with a strong smell: it’s better not to buy than to buy and provoke an allergic reaction. And in the first months of life, there is no need for a large number of soft toys; they will be needed later, when you and your child look at the bear’s nose and mouth, look for it in the bunny and, of course, in the baby. But then you need to remember that soft toys are a real dust collector. And there is no need to clutter the nursery with them. A good way to renew a child’s emotional impressions is to temporarily remove some of the toys. When you take out these toys again, the child will be especially happy with them, because he has already played with them. It's like meeting old friends, so don't rush to surprise your child with a new toy. A few years ago I worked with children in the Veliky Ustyug camp. There we got acquainted with the toys that children played with 100 years ago. It is amazing how our ancestors could influence the development of children's imagination through a doll made with their own hands from various scraps. This doll had no face. And while playing, you could imagine whether she was angry or crying, happy or wanted to ask for something. Such toys are a thing of the past, and together with them they are a great way to learn to fantasize, cognize and!
