2809 (284hp) | Yes, the sales manager told me to get the 4% I would have to promise to give a 100% satisfaction rate on the survey. No problem with that.
adminj (323hp) | Okay, it's a must-have, but you also need the sports steering wheel.

I closed the deal in September after selling my last car. The BM came in at around 50k. I got 1,500 off and a car loan until January. If I hadn't wanted to get a car loan, I could have gotten 2000. That's 4%. Same as you. This was the best I could get and I tried everything. It's a shame all of us Irish buyers couldn't get together and negotiate a bulk buying deal. Nowadays, every gesture counts.

vazquez1 (181hp) | I drove the 535 with the regular Auto. I was surprised that the revs didn't match the downshifts. I hope Sport Auto does at least that.
dfaeff34232 (408hp) | Has anyone heard of a spec change for cars built from January 2011 onwards? I noticed a few other brokers are now removing heated front seats from the options lists, which suggests it will soon be standard..
alexander12 (807hp) | Please correct me if I'm wrong. But as far as I know, there is no rev-matching technology in BMW's 8-speed automatic, whether it is the standard or sporty version..

EAS (948hp) | I noticed dead spots on some occasions. Not in the sense of turbo lag, especially since the ECU takes longer than necessary to respond to throttle position. The other thing is that in D you stop - as you brake the transmission sometimes shifts from second to 3rd. This is rather alarming - anyway, I'm taking the car to be reprogrammed next week - maybe the changing algorithms will approve eventually. There is supposed to be a BST for this. However, in sport, which is the mode I drive in most of the time, the car shifts well without any problems noted...

A few reviewers of the F10 noted that the 8-speed automatic is in some situations a bit hesitant and can't decide which gear to be in...
jeff@autocouture (785hp) | So does anyone know if the sport automatic transmission has rev matched downshifts ??
GMW (316hp) | I have a strong feeling that the bugs will be worked out as tranny spreads throughout the product line. In addition, I think it will be completely resolved on the 5th within 8 months.
rafael123 (383hp) | it's an amazing transexual - shifts smoothly, shifts quickly if you use the paddles (no lag) and is as economical as a dual clutch transexual (which is more efficient than a manual transexual).
100890 (213hp) | I would be surprised if there is a diet match in an AT. This provides no benefit and would only waste fuel. I would also be surprised if there was even a sequential downshift under deceleration, unless it was manually induced. Plenty of time to shift to the appropriate gear for transition to acceleration when the accelerator pedal is depressed.
chloe2 (175hp) | Quote: Posted by raleedy I would be surprised if there is a diet match in an AT. This provides no benefit and would only waste fuel. Plenty of time to shift into the appropriate gear to shift to acceleration when the gas pedal is depressed. Ha, are you kidding? Your 328 revs match when you downshift with steptronic. Several automatic transmissions exist, go drive a new Infiniti or Lexus IS-f. It offers a huge advantage: smoother downshifts. Have you ever tried manually downshifting to 2nd or 1st? On the Infiniti and IS-F the rev setting is so smooth. Now back to the original topic, does the new f10 rev 8 speed match when you downshift manually ??
scirocco (956hp) | Why do you need/want to know if there is a diet match? Isn't this a qualitative question in the sense of "how well does its diet match" - with comparisons to other automobiles ??
oaktree (223hp) | I googled and couldn't find anything that indicates a diet matching feature. I didn't notice it while driving either (3 weeks). In fact, I barely noticed a gear change... One of ZF's main selling points with this gearbox is better fuel efficiency. Rev matching doesn't really provide that. However, 8 speeds will give you smoother gear changes and better fuel efficiency. I was really surprised at how smooth the automatic transmission was when I first tested it. I had my mind set on a manual gearbox (like all my previous cars) but I couldn't resist it. ZF product sheet for anyone interested: http://www.zf.com/media/media/en/doc...P_de_2007s.pdf
05121989 (246hp) | I have my first car in 10 years with the new 8 speed sports car and it is absolutely beautiful. As smooth as silk in comfort, fast as shit in sport and as controllable as a manual in flappy paddle mode. Simply fantastic and it's as fast as a manual and very economical
guitarra1 (342hp) | Same here. This is my first automatic transexual in 10 years of driving and I love it!
superman88 (903hp) | I agree. I just upgraded from an E90 320d manual to an F10 520d with sport automatic transmission and I love it.!
kompages4u (938hp) | I drove one today with the Sport automatic and it actually matched the revs when downshifting manually. Very soft!

I'm in a similar situation to you, had an Audi A4 2.0 TDI 170 manual sedan for two years - great car. My F10 520d Sports Auto is extremely smooth. It has the same traction as the smaller, lighter A4 – the extra 14 HP and automatic function make it much smoother. I find that I am noticeably less tired after a long trip - which I am very happy with, as it is one of the main reasons why I chose to switch from manual to auto..

19111989 (202hp) | Well, after the weather created delivery delays, the car finally arrived and picked it up this evening. It was pouring rain and it was dark for the shed, so photos will have to wait until tomorrow or Sunday. Massive traffic jam on the M25 on the way back from the dealership but I loved it. This gave me a lot of time to play with the car. The car is as follows..... I'll take some photos and thoughts this weekend, but after the brief 1.5 hour drive home, I think I'll really enjoy this car..

tiger101 (680hp) | Yes, I spent the evening doing that. Someone else was collecting a new F11 at the same time as me, but it was a metallic blue SE model, so it couldn't have been you because I think your post said yours was space gray? I collected mine from the Redhill branch.

play_doh (313hp) | Soft, looks great. I was about to go with carbon black myself, but bottled it after thinking about all the cleaning! Be interested to know what you think of the M-sport suspension and the 19. As you know I also had my SE with 18 on Friday. The ride is just about perfect for the way I drive (sediently...) but it feels a bit floaty and rolls a bit, so I imagine the M-sport suspension is the way to go if you like to push a bit . . The SE suspension and the 18s are definitely a much better ride than my previous A6 SE on the 17s. I have tried a few Audi S-Line loaner cars over the last few years, the ride was absolutely horrible which made me generally discouraged from sport suspensions, so I'd be interested to know what M-sport is like....

198403 (789hp) | Very nice car, enjoy it. Mewster, my car will have Msport suspension and 19 inch wheels. I had the same setup on a 530d that they gave me as a demo car over the weekend. For me it felt very very comfortable, compared to my M5 it felt much smoother. So much so that if funds allow I will add lowering springs and maybe even 20'' wheels. I think it would still be more comfortable than my M5.

I have tried a few Audi S-Line loaner cars over the last few years, the ride was absolutely horrible which made me kind of deterred sports suspensions in general, so I'd be interested to know what M-sport is like. I'm probably not being very objective here because my last 3 cars (including this one) have all been M-Sports with M-Sport suspension, starting with the E60 530i M-Sport then the E92 330i M-Sport and now the F11. I guess the other problem is that I've only done 75 miles in the new car out of the few miles I've done, I have to say the standard M-Sport setup on the 19's is very very good. not as hard as the E92 but still firm enough to feel reassuring but also quite comfortable over the endless line of potholes and ruts on our roads. so for now it's a big gripe on my part on the 19 and the standard M-sport suspension. a few other quick observations: - The panoramic sunroof is EXCELLENT. when you want more light, it bathes the cabin, but when you want the cozier feel of the roof covering, the shade snaps back into place and you won't know it's there. My 5 month old boy seemed to appreciate the extra light in the back when riding in it today - Business HiFi, which was well worth the relatively small outlay. the sound is very impressive at all volume levels - matte aluminum exterior trim, this car was a canceled order (hence why I got it so quickly) and the trim choice was the only thing which I had doubts about but I have to say in real life Looks excellent, very high quality. Having had a very shiny shadow line on my last two cars I know it takes a bit of cleaning to keep it shiny and I have a feeling this matte aluminum trim will continue to look the part with a lot less elbow grease required. Plus, if you keep the matte (std) aluminum roof rails, the whole package complements the car wonderfully - the aluminum hex trim, which I had in my E60, seems much higher quality and looks similar to that of the F11. If I had placed a factory order I would have been tempted by the anthractic but I have to say the hexagonal trim is much better than I expected. very satisfied - sports automatic gearbox, one word, great. get it. - Electric seats with driver memory, for me a must because I hate when my wife changes all the seats/mirrors/steering wheel configuration... it always takes me an age to get everything back the way I like them. having the button built into the driver's door (memory setting) is a nice touch and well done some extra photos taken...engine compartment and panoramic roof with retracted blind

GOFASTR (156hp) | This may be a very stupid question, but can you get a 550i 6 speed in the US? online it looks like it's just a standard car or an upgrade to a sports car
maquina (195hp) | Yes. Since the automatic option is a free option, I assume they no longer allow you to specify it when creating your own web page. 535 or 550 can come with a 6 speed, only the 528 requires an automatic.

slinky1 (933hp) | I just got a 550i and currently have about 1200 miles on it. I average about 60 highway miles per day and 15 local miles. So far I've gotten about 21 mpg total. This is a relatively conservative highway cruise in Comfort mode at 80 mph with the occasional shift into Sport mode and a sprint to 110 mph.
Dally (9hp) | I drive 40 miles a day in an F10 550xi, mostly in the city (although I drive on the highway, it's mostly congested Chicago traffic), I average 16 mpg. I've done a few longer trips on the weekend which allows me to open up (with 110 mph sprints haha) and those trips averaged around 22 mpg. These numbers won't impress your Prius friends (until they experience the incredible excellence). Also, if one was really interested in cars with good MPG, it would be best if they were on the Chevrolet Volt forums.. ,-)

DMiken (941hp) | We took our first road trip from St. Louis to Dallas and back with our 535 6-speed this week. Most of the drive is on the highway or Oklahoma Turnpike, so we put the pedal to the metal. 2,900 rpm in sixth gear equates to about 85 mph cruising. Average mpg was 26.1 and average speed was 79 mph. Obviously we could have increased the mileage by slowing down, but we didn't have as much fun! BTW, the run flat tires don't seem as noisy as I expected. Overall, a great road car.

kitty14 (857hp) | I just got a 550i and currently have about 1200 miles on it. I average about 60 highway miles per day and 15 local miles. So far I've gotten about 21 mpg total. This is a relatively conservative highway cruise in Comfort mode at 80 mph with the occasional shift into Sport mode and a sprint to 110 mph.
saddie (678hp) | I drive 40 miles a day in an F10 550xi, mostly in the city (although I drive on the highway, it's mostly congested Chicago traffic), I average 16 mpg. I've done a few longer trips on the weekend which allows me to open up (with 110 mph sprints haha) and those trips averaged around 22 mpg. These numbers won't impress your Prius friends (until they experience the incredible excellence). Also, if one was really interested in cars with good MPG, it would be best if they were on the Chevrolet Volt forums.. ,-)
elijah5 (990hp) | I average about 20 mpg, which is about 40/60: highway/city. On the highway only, mileage is around 28 to 30 mpg. In the city only, consumption is up to 17 mpg.

2580123 (792hp) | Quote: Posted by aceman I just drove a 550xi with M-sport... really tempting (I was looking at the 7er). Anyway, can you chime in with your observations of 535 and 550 mpg? mention the model/wd or not/highway/city/etc. THANKS! Aceman 528i - propulsion - 34 - 25 .

sw0rdf1sh (648hp) | We took our first road trip from St.

Nirvana (288hp) | I've had my 2011 550 M sport for two weeks. It's a manual transmission and is always in sport plus mode. I don't have highway driving, everything stops and starts. I average 13.5 MPG, but I have fun doing it.
031275 (577hp) | I've had my 550i since July, 6,000 miles and average about 20.2 MPG in mixed city and highway driving.
braceface1 (807hp) | 535i I average 24 in city and 30.2 in highway driving, 27.6 combined. On the highway I average 26.8 when driving over 100 mph the whole way..
arista (247hp) | After 3,500 km I get 11.7 L/100 km on the dashboard, but on my last fill-up I got 10.9 L/100 km. I drive about 50/50 highway/city roads. I hope to eventually be able to get below 10 L/100 km.
251001 (53hp) | 550i 6 speed: about 14 mpg when I enjoy driving it in Sport mode, about 17 mpg in 60/40 city/highway combined. If you're concerned about fuel consumption, don't hesitate for a second and buy the 535, it's a much smarter purchase. The 550 will cost you a lot more in the end, and gas will only be part of that cost..
28121986 (48hp) | 550I......I average 100 miles a day - 90 highway, 10 local.........21 MPG on average. This includes occasionally switching to sport mode with spirited driving .

pallina (429hp) | 535i Sport approximately 20-22 mpg - all city approximately 28-30 mpg - all highway approximately 25 mpg - 50/50 highway and city

m (535hp) | Yes..... finally confirmed the specifications of my 520d F11 msport today at my dealer and I had opted for heated seats but these are now foc.... nice! Expected delivery mid-February, so I'll probably wait until March 1st for the new 11 reg.
25021984 (820hp) | thanks for the confirmation..... weird that the broker sites reflect this now, but the BMW configurator takes the BMW web team a little longer to make changes than the simpler broker websites. well heated front seats FOC... that's €300 that I could save or compensate for the increase in VAT

I take delivery on February 20. The new erg would be nice but paying an extra 1,750 ВЈ for this privilege.....? If your dealer says they will honor the 2010 price, let me know..

I checked this with an Irish dealer and was told that heated seats would only become standard on 6 cylinder models. As mine will be a 520D for delivery in January (with over €400 paid for this option), I'm not sure if I will benefit from it or not, as the Irish and UK F10s are the same (based on the same brochure for the two markets).).

08061988 (428hp) | A few points 1) All dealers should offer a VAT freeze provided the car is collected before March 1st. No one should pay 20% VAT for a car delivered in January or February 2.) I got 9% off my 535d M Sport and a decent price on my px. If you think it's absurd that they work with a 5% margin, you need to be more careful. Online brokerage sites like www.broadspeed.co.uk will offer you 8% off straight away. If you didn't have px you could bargain hard and get over 10% off, my friend got 14% off his.6.

180787 (937hp) | I have had my 530D F10 since April 2010 and have covered around 23,000 km. As of last week, I had my third driver software update. The steering behavior of my car is strange. For the first 100 miles of the trip it seems okay, but after that I feel increased resistance to steering wheel movement in either direction. The car does not pull in a specific direction. The next route has the same pattern. When I get home, I feel a sort of wrist fatigue, which I never felt with my previous 530D E40. I love my car but I don't like the EPS as it is. Someone feels the same?

060189 (153hp) | Will a dealer allow you to order the M-Sport package with 18-inch wheels? I like all the options in the M package, but I live in an area with a lot of potholes. I'm afraid I'll have more issues with the 19 inch wheels simply because of the roads. I know there is aftermarket tire insurance, but I don't consider it an option for me. If they allow me to customize my package, they will usually give a discount as well, since 19-inch wheels are more expensive. Thank you for your comments!
sonic5 (236hp) | Just a guess. The dealer may say yes. But the dealer can do this by taking your factory 19 and giving you 18 at the dealer when the car arrives. The dealer may also charge you something even if the 19 costs more than 18. I say keep the 19 and get the insurance.

1zachary (981hp) | The 528i M Sport comes with 18 M350 wheels/the 335i comes with 19 M351 wheels. Ask the dealer to trade in 18 wheels if that's what you really want and make it part of the deal - they might put your original 19 wheels on a stock car in their lot stock and charge more for the car as if it were an additional upgrade. by the dealer.
