fffffffff (895hp) | WTF continues with the rear.
|
martynhr (391hp) | Quote: Posted by Bimmer Loyalist WTF is happening with the rear. Sorry I'm not a fan of the rear, but I like everything else, the rear reminds me of the Pontiac Aztec, the taillights need more character, they are very simple and the rear just looks cut off at the end. They should have given it a more panamera rear end in that the rear slopes more towards the rear bumper (a la 911) instead of just cutting the rear end off (a la toyota prius and honda insight) . However, this type of rear end is meant to be very aerodynamic, so it has some advantages

karin (686hp) | These seats are so flat, obviously designed specifically for the American market... What are thin people supposed to do? It's not a BMW, it's just a vehicle that someone came up with so it can hopefully generate more revenue..
|
killa2 (444hp) | Now that the PAS/GT is revealed, BMW can remove the body cladding from the test cars that are undergoing their final testing phase. Here's one in what appears to be space gray with more production-ready wheels than what the concept wears, so we can get a better idea of what the real car sold at dealerships would look like. I like it MUCH better in the space gray color!!

It's nice though...a nice new BMW, not a nice E34 BMW. my love for the e46 is the same as yours. It's unfortunate that BMW decided to venture in a completely different styling direction. maybe I still have hope of finding a 330i zhp.

silly123 (53hp) | wow a BMW Prius. I thought the bracelet was missing. who invents this shit?

algeria (971hp) | You talk about classic BMW beauty and you don't even mention the E39? The E39 is by far the most beautiful BMW to date, very close to the new Z4. Yet the E39 is timeless, time will tell if the new Z4 ages as gracefully

Yet the E39 is timeless, time will tell if the new Z4 ages as gracefully. The E39 is also a beautiful car. Many E34 enthusiasts (I am one) might disagree. Usually, every generation, BMW creates a controversial new design style. My favorite design is a tie-in to the E46 M3 and E39 M5. (The E36 started the design language I love, and the E46 perfected it) From the E46 to the E39, as soon as the cars came out, I loved the designs while from the E65 onwards, E60, etc., I had to study cars for months before seeing the beauty. I now find the E60 and E92 (especially the M5 and M3) magnificent. As for the E24 to E34 (and before) cars, these cars existed before my love for BMWs existed, so when I see them now (I have an E34), they exude a classic elegance that the newer cars have lost . (A true hardcore German style appearance). Anyway, my question: is this also known as the new X1, or are PAS and X1 different?

250995 (311hp) | All the manufacturers stopped at what you all call classic designs (which they undoubtedly are, but that doesn't stop modern cars from being considered classic). There's a reason for this: if all manufacturers stuck to simple, straight lines and conservative shapes, EVERY car would look the same..
|
steve69 (832hp) | I hated the e60 the first time I saw it. I have the same reaction to this machine. Although this one makes me laugh a little. This is so RIDICULOUS

CFoote (610hp) | Horrible, stupid piece of car. The worst BMW ever.
|
bloom1 (566hp) | A terrible looking car! They should just throw this design in the trash! I can see a lot of aggressive soccer moms driving it...I think they rule the roads.!
|
demarcus1 (265hp) | Oh god no...please don't do that BMW! I was barely getting by with the X6, and now you're bringing in a confused whale? In my opinion, BMW is finally running their business like a business, with the goal of producing cars to make as much money as possible, and they are losing the prestige associated with their cars. Why the hell do they make 92917217932631972319723 different models?

I am pleased that they have higher ground effects and different unique ground effects (lower on side by side doors including side skirts) Yes!!!! This looks a lot more like the Concept Cs!!! Like a Concept Cs baby! Yes Yes Yes Lol I want to know what the back looks like 5!

bmwmmm (697hp) | This thing is a high-end version of the Toyota Venza. Both are aimed at people who really want an SUV, but know they'll be looked down upon if they stop one at soccer practice. It's ironic that a car meant to improve the driver's image (the 5 GT, not the Venza) actually makes him look like a complete fucking tool..

panther4 (835hp) | The production version of the BMW 5 Series GT continues road testing in Germany and the car appears to follow the concept car shown last month, almost verbatim. These latest photos are high resolution and taken in real lighting, which I believe shows the true curves of this car that were somewhat lost in the press release photos taken in bright lighting. Seeing the car in real-world conditions confirms to me that this car has some very well thought out styling cues and will look great from most angles. However, there's no hiding that tall trunk which will instantly put off a lot of people, but for them the standard 5 Series will be a better fit anyway. This car is still intended for a family

|
braeden1 (753hp) | This front end is starting to look a bit Volvo-ish. And not necessarily in a good way. See the 2007 S80 concept: http://directorym.myride.com/content.../id/27914,ride
|
rainer (855hp) | I'm just wondering why should anyone buy a 5 series GT over a sedan? I mean, the car looks good, it's nice actually, but what's the point really? And it's sure that it's more beautiful in white or black than in this color.
|

golden22 (360hp) | The shape of the rear half reminds me too much of the Toyota Prius (especially in the 2nd photo), which in my opinion is really not that of a looker...
|
gerrard08 (172hp) | It seems that BMW engineers have dropped the hammer and really launched into new territories... Take for example their driver with a changing face, to the point of being completely undetectable! It's certain that some type of human/mutant hybrid capable of gargantuan forces was someone to try to steal this 5er GT prototype from him.!
|
1brian (21hp) | Pass) !!! The front and sides can work and have a lot of potential, the rear is ugly, just doesn't remind you of a BMW but an Asian car...especially when you look at the side curve towards the rear, way too steep .. I know a lot of people didn't like the straps (hell, he designed the multipla before he went to BMW, although I think BMW paid him to make Fiat look ridiculous lol) but the butts of bracelets and beemers of the bracelet generation are still beauties that I hope for. the ordinary fiver sedan keeps its look alive

|
2912 (517hp) | I don't see the point of this car. Much like the X6, this is an attempt to fill a non-existent market niche. With the 1,3,5,6,7,X3,X5 already available, there is more than enough choice for everyone to find a car to suit their personal needs/tastes..

21101984 (104hp) | This is so wrong it makes me laugh. I'm sorry, but I don't see how anyone could believe that. 1) The most obvious clue is the current e60 5er grille 2) The headlights are cut from an X5, and the one on our right side is messed up where it meets the hood lines that go down to the grille 3) The front bumper is just a warped version of the pre-FL e60 5er 4) The Hoff-kink reveals the fact that it was derived from a e90/e60, both of which look very similar in the C-pillar region 5) The trunk is from an e60, and the taillights have the same details as an X5, but in e90 form 6) The rear bumper is an exact copy of an e90/e92, but with reflective strips e60 5er 7) The mirrors are ruined, take a look at the post from HKS *The sides appear to come from the e90, but the character line has been accentuated and flattened

|
Grumpy514 (27hp) | Quote: Posted by fotios330i It's beautiful. No one noticed that this photoshop is simply an E60 fascia with 3 series front quarter panels, mixed front headlights from an E65 and the new F01, X6 taillights, 7 series door panels ...You are impressed by this.?
|
flapjack (403hp) | Quote: Originally posted by , Series 7 door panels... Are you impressed by this? I don't mean to be picky, but the headlights are probably just warped X5 units. They don't share any details with the E65s, and the F01 was revealed well after this photo was photoshopped. Additionally, it's not the same character line as the 7 Series, and the X6 was revealed after its inception, meaning the taillights also used those of the X5. And I don't think these quarter panels were taken from the 3er. I just wanted to mention it.

sherwin1 (527hp) | i like the shape even if it's wrong... actually i love the e60... usually by the time bmw comes out with a new shape the old one is usually obsolete... but i don't think that the e60 would look obsolete even after the arrival of the F10...you think so??

135 (277hp) | If the F10 looks like the dinosaur with the huge grille from the spy photos, BMW = FAIL. If the car looks mostly like this, it will be a success. However, we've all been fooled by artist renderings that are far sexier than those that ended up on the production line. I hope it's not one of them.

flower33 (569hp) | This is so wrong it makes me laugh. I'm sorry, but I don't see how anyone could believe that. 1) The most obvious clue is the current e60 5er grille 2) The headlights are cut from an X5, and the one on our right side is messed up where it meets the hood lines that go down to the grille 3) The front bumper is just a warped version of the pre-FL e60 5er 4) The Hoff-kink reveals the fact that it was derived from an e90/e60, both of which look very similar in the area from the C pillar 5) The trunk comes from an e60, and the taillights have the same details as those of an X5, but in the form of an e90 6) The rear bumper is an exact copy of an e90 /e92, but with reflective strips e60 5er 7) The mirrors are screwed, take a look at the post from HKS *The sides seem to be from the e90, but the character line has been accentuated and flattened

19101986 (919hp) | Consider this: how does the hood open when the closing line magically disappears between the headlight and grille on our left side?
|
19081988 (379hp) | it's beautiful, but I wish they put bigger kidneys!!

awesome5 (471hp) | Wow,

200278 (909hp) | HAHAHA, Kié! I just searched the web for the e60 5 series and found a photo similar to the one discussed in this thread, and found you commenting on a Motor Authority site! Hahaha, I found it funny. :

I think the hood opens from one side only.... nathan15 (617hp) | I'm always annoyed by how the automotive press comes up with these on their own years in advance with little to no real basis on the designs, then publishes NEW _____ REVEALED! EXCLUSIVE PHOTOS INSIDE! While tiptoeing around the fact that this is just an artist's imagination..

thetruth1 (423hp) | Quote: Posted by fotios330i It's beautiful. No one noticed that this photoshop is simply an E60 fascia with 3 series front quarter panels, mixed front headlights from an E65 and the new F01, X6 taillights, 7 series door panels ...You are impressed by this.?

mad (476hp) | Quote: Originally posted by , Series 7 door panels... I just wanted to mention it.

softball20 (454hp) | Very pleasant!
|
soccer95 (854hp) | i like the shape even if it's wrong... actually i love the e60... usually by the time bmw comes out with a new shape the old one is usually obsolete... but i don't think that the e60 would look obsolete even after the arrival of the F10...you think so??
