uxkaos (742hp) | Quote: Originally posted by Stealth.pilot I would like to correct an answer previously given by Mobileum to Rhinosaur's question about whether IAS can be disabled. IAS can be disabled. You go to iDrive >, Settings >, Tire Chains >, On. Tire Chain mode deactivates IAS. I think this only disables rear wheel steering.
|
Ghetto2315 (508hp) | I think the IAS is really good for the car. Fortunately (and unfortunately), I have driven quite a few F10/F11 models. In combined, I drove almost all the engines and was able to try all the available options. Good because now I know what I want and also what I don't want on my next F10 535d. Coming from a fairly well equipped F10 535i M/6, my 2 revelations were the IAS and the comfort seats. IAS makes the car much smaller to drive, but more importantly the steering is much better. Comfort seats are some of the best car seats available. The BMW sports seats are very good, but the comfort seats are worth the extra money. In fact, I'm currently confirming my F10 535d Executive (LCI). Imperial Blue/Amarobrown Individual M Sport IAS Power trunk lid/soft-closing doors Panoramic sunroof Alcantara headliner B&O sound LED headlights, among others. In the Netherlands, the F10/F11 can be ordered as Business Line, Executive and High Executive. I don't take the top of the range because it comes standard with the multifunctional dashboard which I really don't like. Some comments below in red. I would give up a few in favor of IAS and comfort seats Quote: Originally posted by rhinosaur 535d (313 hp) Touring Sport Automatic transmission M Sport package with: ..Sophisto Gray II ..Black Dakota leather power sport seats with heating and memory .. number5 (506hp) | Thanks for discovering this, I guess some people might need some perspective on the different options we can choose from. Regarding your comments about the red, my car is already 9 months old. I've made some changes to the specs so the one in this thread is slightly out of date and I can tell you that I positively LOVE the HUD and MFID. Honestly, I don't understand how you say it's useless in the daytime since this generation of HUD is great: excellent resolution, full of color and responsive to different brightness requirements (for example, when driving on a clear day and entering in a tunnel). , then come out...). Plus, I don't regret adding Adaptive Drive either. It's amazing how quickly the car changes depending on the setting you choose and how effective the different driving experiences are. And I agree with you that these comfort seats are amazing!

The MTC system doesn't have the HD graphics like BMW, but I honestly don't care about it at all simply because the overall car experience is much better. My recommendation would be to buy one with 20-inch wheels, two-tone dashboard, S or SQ4, sport package and paddle shifters. I ended up tuning the car's ECU and was amazed that I could now push 480 hp and 496 lbs of torque and drive amazingly. The noise the car makes is enough to ignore everything else.

So the arguments about reliability and shared parts are false, because having owned a BMW for most of my life, I understand how reliable BMWs are and I'm sure they are no better than Maserati in this regard. I'll give you the noise it makes in Sport mode. it's incredible. I found an old clip in my Google photo. https://vid.me/cCDF

The cars also have a Ferrari designed engine and exhaust, that doesn't mean I have a Ferrari Go, I drive a brand new fully loaded Chrysler minivan and you'll notice they share quite a few extra things lol But hey dude, congratulations, I love this color combination, enjoy and healthy.

I'm afraid the infotainment system won't be up to par and not having my heads up display... Maserati near me they are offering 22K off the all new 2016 Ghibli S. MSRP 81k minus 22 = 59K Jump on it or keep my F10... decisions decisions

The noise the car makes is enough to ignore everything else.

marilin (625hp) | If anyone is looking for a good set of 20 inch rims at a low price, JWL, TUV and DOT approve, stop by Dinan. It's now $699 on their direct website, while other sites are still offering them in the thousands. I just bought one so I have to say grab them before they're gone. Buy them for yourself for Christmas. You can't go wrong with Dinan products and only pay $699 for a complete set of 20-inch rims. I've wanted a set of 20 inch rims since I bought my car a year ago, I'm glad I waited. I thought I would like to share with you, so here is the link: http://www.dinancars.com/product/d75...?series=&mid=/

lovekills (874hp) | http://f10.5post.com/forums/showthre...t=dinan+wheels Yeah, another forum member picked them up a while ago, and he seemed happy with them. See the thread above for some photos after they were installed. Not really my style, but certainly a good deal for 20 wheels from a reputable company

princess99 (565hp) | Hello everyone, After taking a three year break from BMW (I had a horrible VW PASsat), I am now coming back to BMW. I used to have a very bad experience with BMW navigation on the E46 and E60, but it seems the new NBT systems are pretty good with RTTI. I've gotten used to Google Maps traffic information and just wanted to ask: is the BMW system as good as Google or is it not quiet. What I'm most interested in is redirecting you when road conditions change. Thanks SB

Thanks SB No, nothing is as good as Google Maps. However, the good news is that Apple CarPlay is now available in these cars, making the BMW navigation system useless.

Thanks SB Hi! I can tell you from my own experience that RTTI does it fairly! At least in Germany. Google isn't bad either. But I think for the most recent news, RTTI is a little better since it also gets its traffic information from other BMW vehicles on the road equipped with RTTI. It is certain that RTTI offers a better quality of information, the more BMW vehicles equipped with RTTI circulating in your environment or where you want to go. The only downside is that it is quite expensive if you spend the 3 years from purchasing a new product..

I really wish I had cleaned out the garage for this one....

Deano_uk (391hp) | I recently traded my 1990 300zx TT that I had owned for over 18 years for this 535 (Z was a DD - I drove it in the snow all the time with just all season tires) and after the trade I Gave my daughter my 2005 Nissan Altima. (56,000 miles) because I couldn't fit both in the garage. I don't know why there is so much adversity in driving our cars in the snow (other than the obvious - salt, chemicals, etc.). Even though my BMW is rear-wheel drive, so was my Z and that thing was a low-rider snowplow. With the balance of the BMW, and its much lower power than my Z, I don't foresee any problems this winter. I've had a little snowfall before, but so far it looks like this car will be fine this winter..

With the balance of the BMW, and its much lower power than my Z, I don't foresee any problems this winter. I've already had a little snowfall, but so far it looks like this car will be fine this winter. the reason I don't drive my car in the winter months isn't because it's rear wheel drive or I don't want to buy snow tires or it's not safe? that's because I've invested time and money in it and it's strictly a show car, a cruiser and a hobby of mine. I see way too many cars in ditches in my area on a daily basis and that's the last thing I want to be in. That's why I drive other cars during the winter. you will never see guys around here driving their Porsche, Corvette or whatever property they own during the winters! but I see Mustangs lol! but there are a lot of BMWs driving in winter and I praise them, but not what I would do with my BMW. For now, she's sleeping until April...maybe March?
