Addiction is a certain state that appears instead of emptiness and wounds that could form (and most often form) at any stage of human development and formation. If we have earlier traumas, then we will have a stronger manifestation of the dependent behavior. That is, a certain compulsive (repetitive) sequence of actions with the object of addiction. You need to understand that we are talking specifically about compulsive actions, when there are many of them, when they blur your boundaries, when you yourself cease to exist and live only in the mood of the object of dependence, when without such communication you cannot simply live your life and live on autopilot, and There is a huge obsessive desire inside, which is connected specifically with the object. Unhealthy calls, correspondence, some kind of ritual manifestations, without which it’s as if the world would collapse and there’s no point. But once you contact your object and get approval or confirmation of love and need, or make sure that everything is fine, everyone is alive and well, then only then can you breathe calmly and continue the day. Objects are completely different, first it’s always mom, dad, after all, these are the very first people in our lives, because at first we exist only next to them and they are the whole world, and then this can shift towards substances, food, actions, other people (relationships with men/women). I fill the emptiness and wound something. I eat, drink, smoke, play, work, compulsively communicate in relationships. I shut myself up with someone or something and turn on a compulsive action with my object. But this is always instead of.. Instead of that wounded hole. If at the moment there is a dependent relationship with the other half, then this is because of the trigger of the wound from mom/dad. If you use a substance to drown out the wound and emptiness, then this also comes from a deep childhood need that has remained empty. In addiction there is a lot of lack of freedom and a strong but unknown need, almost always for love, support and acceptance of the real us. We all have mental defenses in principle, and in addiction these same defenses help to maintain this addiction even more. All our projections, retroflections, introjects strengthen and aggravate it. You can get out of addiction with the help of liberating actions, and such actions are explored during therapy and are assigned, then we learn to function according to a new scenario with liberating behavior.
