I have a client, her name is Nastya. She is a true artist at heart. Nastya is very talented, she has her own vision of the world. I would like to introduce you to her work called “Doors in My World.” Nastya performed this work as a final work at art school. She kindly provided it to us for publication on our website. “I thought for a long time about the theme of the project, about the project itself. I had many ideas, but I settled on the theme of life, the doors in it, and life as a path through doors. My theme reflects the essence of the most important thing in the life of every person, which is why the theme of my project is “Doors in my world.” “...in my world” is in the world of each individual person and the entire society as a whole. And the “Doors” in my project are like new stages in life, because life is new doors into something new. Most people believe that life is black and white, but I, as a creative person, believe that life is a spectrum of colors, and it cannot and does not want to be limited to just two colors. Based on these thoughts, I decided to make three works: darkness through loneliness, light and color through friendship, and the spectrum itself - life. First work “Life”. Life for every teenager like me is the dynamics of color, line; it's running up and down; these are some new interesting discoveries; it is knowing oneself through the world around us. Therefore, the work contains only a bright, dynamic color. Colors play with each other: they repel and attract; come together and fall apart, like a puzzle that is put together, taken apart and put back together again. The staircase is like a line of our life, it reflects our path in time: be it up or down, right or left, even diagonally. The doors in this work reflect a certain alluring unknown. And this unknown lurks literally at every step. All these doors, stairs and secrets are life, and it seethes and boils in each of us. Second work “Loneliness”. Loneliness is a feeling that people often experience in a crowd, so I thought that I would build this work on the antithesis of colors, lines and feelings. A lonely, dark, cold figure in the center of the picture, like some kind of doll that still has feelings, but these feelings locked it away and turned it into useless trash. Society seems to have thrown this figure to the margins of life. It seems that the loneliness of this figure is like cancer; this disease affects still healthy cells, but this is only a superficial impression. If you look deeper, you can breathe a sigh of relief; loneliness is just a temporary cold, and this cold can be cured very well by time and good thoughts. A little time will pass and a cure will come - a friend or our own consciousness - and our unfortunate figure will be cured. Loneliness will die, and this person will be reborn as a personality of society. And we can call this cold doll a warm, bright, ever-living word - Phoenix. The third work is “Friendship”. Do you know what feeling can make your life easier and more difficult at the same time? I think it's either love or friendship. Of these two feelings, I am more familiar with friendship. Friendship is such a complicated thing, sometimes it seems so simple, but it's more like a house of cards, a little whiff of air, and bam, it's gone. I think friendship should be a calm and smooth part of our lives, which is why the central door consists of green shades. Warm with soft transitions in colors, the two figures emphasize the friendly harmony in the work. These figures also have wings, their wings are different, as if to emphasize that the people who are in the place of these figures are different. The two friends are calm and relaxed, they do not feel discomfort, there is a lot of space around them, even their wings are spread out. But the stairs and doors clearly do not have enough space to work; they have to be crowded behind, at the edges. And so it should be, because what is important for friendship is the person with all his skeletons and cockroaches, and not the path of life and the alluring unknown.” You can.
