It's the xx day of quarantine and self-isolation. If at the beginning of quarantine there was a mood for business and communication with children. Someone cheerfully began taking new training courses. Someone plunged headlong into work or took up a hobby. Now, more and more often, I hear such phrases from my friends: “I have no strength anymore,” “when will it end,” “I’m already going crazy,” “I’m bored at home.” Even those who work from home, the self-employed, are also suffering. It would seem that people worked at home before. What changed? But they are also tired of what is happening. Why is this happening. Subjective perception of lack of freedom. Quarantine has limited us in some activities. And for some, the very fact of this limitation becomes unbearable. Those who are not ready to accept the temporary loss of freedom suffer the most. Repetitive activity. At the beginning of quarantine, you did a number of things that occupied your time and gave meaning to your time. But after a while, this activity stopped making you happy. She began to become boring. This process is called desensitization. Loss of sensation. At first you feel joy, pleasure from the process, but over time the feelings dull. You stop getting joy from this type of activity. What to do? Change activities. On a weekend, do completely different work than what you do on weekdays. Invent new types of activities for yourself. Remember what made you happy before. Find new joys in life. And the most important thing! The more such cases there are, the better. The less likely you are to get bored with them. Here are the options that the people I talk to have come up with for themselves: - take a make-up course and paint yourself in a new way every day - take up painting - play new games with your family - learned how to bake buns and master new culinary recipes There is a lot of room for imagination ! Your expectations. Someone had set their minds up for a week of quarantine, it passed, and the bell went off: “that’s it, it’s time to go out.” I've already stayed at home enough. I finished all the things I had planned. It's time to end quarantine. The person is not in the mood to spend a long time at home. What to do. Get ready for a long stay at home. Tell yourself that you may have to sit for a long time. Learn to console yourself: “Well, we’ve sat for two weeks and we’ll sit for some more. It's OK". Impatience. If expectations do not coincide with reality, the inner “impatient” begins to buzz in the ear: “Well, when will this end...”, “As long as possible...”. You know, as a child says, “maaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaat I’m going to do.” And our brain has such a property - no matter what you tell it, it begins to react with emotions. What to do. Become aware of this process. Notice what exactly you are telling yourself at the moment. Learn to switch to other thoughts, start doing other things that you set for yourself in point 2. Ask yourself the question - what will I do at this time? What will I do? And come up with something long-term to do. These are just some of the factors that influence our attitude to current events. Understanding these processes will help you understand the cause of your poor health and improve it in time. And for those who want to deal with their difficulties during this period, sign up for a consultation.
