Have you ever wondered how easy it is to kill another person’s desire to start doing something new, their motivation? Very easy. Especially if this is a person close and important to you. The last time I saw this especially clearly was in the series Desperate Housewives. Yes, I watch different TV series and films. By the way, “housewives” have a lot of meaning and they convey a lot of important thoughts. Look at your leisure. So, there was such a scene. Flashback to a time when one of the main characters, Bree, was married to her first husband, Rex. Bree is an ordinary housewife from the suburbs, she did not work, she took care of the children and the house. Rex - worked as a doctor (as far as I remember). And so Bree decided to take on a new business. She is an excellent cook and thought it would be great to write a book with traditional recipes and dilute them with traditional views on life, housekeeping and other things. Imagine the scene: Bree is sitting at the table, enthusiastically drawing up the layout of her future book. You can see how excited she is about her new business, how much she likes it and how she wants it to become a reality. What is Rex doing? He walks by and says: “What are you doing?” Bree replies that she wants to write a book and shares her dreams and plans with him. To which he receives the answer: “What nonsense, Bree? Who needs this? You won’t succeed. Stop making things up, I want chicken baked in the oven for dinner.” And he leaves. Bree, not receiving the support of the person closest to her, throws her notes into the trash. All. Motivation is killed. They didn't believe in her. They didn't support it. SPOILER ALERT: Looking ahead, the worker who was in their house at that moment saw all this and pulled her notes out of the basket. And, after a while, when her husband died unexpectedly, he gave her her notes and said that he believed in her and the time had come. She did it. She believed in herself, wrote a book and built a successful business. And everything could have happened much earlier. If only they believed in her. Do not kill the dreams and undertakings of your loved ones. Listen to them, voice your concerns and support them..
