Money is evil! This phrase came to us from distant Soviet times, times when all people lived more or less the same way. And those who had above-average income were perceived as thieves and “not honest citizens,” because “You can’t earn a lot of money with honest work.” The era has changed, but the phrase that “Money is evil” still exists somewhere deep inside many people. Let's see what is behind all this and why this phrase is so tightly stuck to our minds. So, our Soviet and post-Soviet past, where there was a strict leveling, but because of this, a person inside himself still did not stop wanting more. In fact, he could not have this more. And even now, not everyone knows where and how to earn a living the one they want and the one that is so actively “advertised as something to dream about” on social networks. And these thoughts create strong internal discomfort, which destroys, but the wise psyche, protecting a person from self-destruction, does the following things. When a person realizes that he doesn’t know how to get money for the life he needs and he doesn’t have the ability to earn money, he needs to somehow justify himself to an internal critic who can turn his life into a living hell. And he sells himself the idea that money is evil. And if it is evil, then there is no need to have it (although here it must be added that not just any money, but big money). And hence another proverb that came from the same place “I am poor, but kind.” And you must agree, this already sounds proud and the person carries it like a banner with his head held high, feeling himself practically a martyr who suffers hardships in the name of something “pure.” With all this, such citizens , do not disdain various “gifts” from these “unscrupulous people”, and, whatever the people, the state is included here as well. After all, they are the first in line for various benefits and benefits. While receiving all sorts of benefits from these “villains,” they manage to hate them, turning up their noses at the hand that gives them these benefits. Due to this, these citizens do not fall into the state of their insolvency and worthlessness, which can deal them an unbearable blow to the psyche, driving them into the “shell of their own insignificance.” This is what actually stands behind such a seemingly harmless and proud phrase “Money is evil.” Share your thoughts about this in comments.
