Health: psychological aspects Human health is a complex concept that includes physiological, psychological and social components. The physiological component of human health includes the balanced functioning of all organs and systems of the human body. This is influenced by psychological and socio-psychological components. The psychological components of human health that have an impact on the somatic, physiological conditions of the human body include: 🔸️ various psychological traumas 🔸️ stressful conditions 🔸️ depressive conditions 🔸️ anxiety conditions, etc. Please note that the course of psychosomatic conditions and their deterioration is directly proportional to the deterioration psychological state of a person, that is, the deterioration of a person’s psychological state is reflected in the worsening of physiological processes. At the physiological level, these psychosomatic states can be expressed in changes, surges in blood pressure, headaches, migraines, disturbances in the heart rhythm and functioning of the respiratory system of the human body, which , for example, psychosomatically can be expressed in symptoms of bronchial asthma, cardiovascular disorders, etc. Also, negative psychological states can be expressed in disruption of the digestive tract, in joint and muscle pain, in disruption of immune processes and metabolic processes. Negative psycho-emotional processes occurring in a person and arising under the influence of various stress factors can provoke a deterioration in psychosomatic conditions. Emotions are positively or negatively colored experiences that arise in a person in response to the influence of environmental factors. Psycho-emotional processes occur in the cerebral cortex and in various parts of the brain, influence the production of the level of various hormones, neurotransmitters, which, in turn, affect on various biochemical and physiological processes occurring in the human body. For example, in stressful situations in the body the level of production of adrenaline, norepinephrine, and cortisol sharply increases, which is reflected in increased heart rate, breathing, changes in blood pressure, and increased muscle tone. The neurotransmitter dopamine increases the level of physiological activity and, among other things, takes part in the biochemical reactions of the digestive tract, influencing a person’s eating behavior. In the process of stress reactions, psychosomatic manifestations of psychological conditions can be expressed in eating behavior disorders, both in the direction of a person’s lack of appetite, and vice versa - in side of increasing appetite. Thanks to the production of dopamine during food intake, a person feels pleasure and this can cause the so-called “eating” of stressful conditions, which can lead to eating disorders. Social aspects that affect human health include: 🔸️ assessment of the importance of a person’s personality in society, in family and this includes respect for a person’s personality and opinion, issues of mutual understanding, trust between family members. For children, this also includes pedagogical methods used by parents in the process of raising their children 🔸️ self-realization of the individual in various types of activities 🔸️ various social, socio-economic factors can also have an impact on human health. A positive corrective influence in matters of human health is exerted by: 🔸️ formation of a positive emotional background in a person 🔸️ satisfaction of human needs 🔸️ improvement of a person’s psychological state 🔸️ formation of positive motivation, including motivation for various types of activities 🔸️ positive correction of the level of low self-esteem of a person 🔸️ formation and development of constructive processes human thinking.
