What is the cause of genius? Why does a child become a genius? Is this normal or pathological? There are different points of view on this issue. In any case, this is a deviation since not all children are geniuses. Genius is not revealed immediately, but in the process of child development. The child may initially even be perceived as mediocre, incapable of mental activity. And then we understand that he is a genius. Discoveries appear, extraordinary creations appear. The child’s brain seems to wake up. By pathology we mean. suffering, pain, painful deviation from the normal state or process of development. Genius children suffer. It would seem that they should be happy, surrounded by a halo of glory, because what they do is so wonderful. But they feel neither happiness nor joy. They perceive themselves as strangers in society. They are not like their peers, but the group to which they are initially close in mental development is not ready to accept them. Psychologically, they may not be as mature as mentally, and conflict results. For example, a 10-year-old boy can participate in an intellectual tournament among adults, but at the same time psychologically remain a child and be ridiculed and not accepted. If a child with signs of genius can cope with the situation of being cut off from the rest of society, then another genius will awaken. If he cannot cope, then another talent will fall asleep. A child with signs of genius can become insane, a person with mental disorders that erase him from the real world. He finds himself in an unreal world and society loses him. Genius is a deviation from the norm, accompanied by mental disorders. A genius must have giftedness just as he has a mental disorder. The combination of these two characteristics leads to genius. Genius is accompanied by manic-depressive psychosis in which a person experiences a state of depression and a state of mania. A child with genius is more often than others in discomfort; he is surrounded by lack of understanding and lack of attention. He is forced to fight. Mental abnormalities are not the cause of genius. They are an accompanying element. . The higher the intellect and the finer the mental organization of a person, the greater the chance that he will not be able to protect himself from the pressure of external circumstances and the disease will prevail and we will not be dealing with a man of genius, but a mentally ill person. Such brilliant artists as Vincent Van Gogh and Frida Kahlo, famous literary figures such as Virginia Woolf and Edgar Allan Poe were distinguished by mental disorders. However, not all persons with mental disabilities are geniuses. Genius can result in mental deviation. Mental deviation will not turn into genius.
