From the author: A simple everyday article about simple home remedies on how to maintain yourself in a state of despondency and non-clinical depression. Depression (from Latin deprimo - “to crush”, “to suppress”) is a mental disorder characterized by the “depressive triad”: decreased mood and loss of the ability to experience joy (anhedonia), thinking disorders (negative judgments, a pessimistic view of what is happening, and so on) , motor retardation. With depression, self-esteem is reduced, and there is a loss of interest in life and usual activities. In some cases, a person suffering from it may begin to abuse alcohol or other psychotropic substances. How a mental disorder is a disorder of affect. The main problem of healthy “depressed” people, in my opinion, is that their life has gone on autopilot, while they themselves are in a coma, every day is like Groundhog Day, the blurred eye does not notice anything. On autopilot, they get up in the morning, wash themselves, pour coffee, go to work the learned way, the appearance is the same. WHAT TO DO? The main principle of “self-medication” for depression is a change of environment and new impressions, new behavior in which you will participate rather than just go. You need to start feeling peace around yourself again. So... let's smash Groundhog Day! We organize our everyday life in such a way as to tease our eyes, ears, touch, and warm up our emotions.1. MORNING. Start your morning early to give yourself time to “live for yourself without work” and reasonably rotate your morning routine (washing your face, going to the kitchen for coffee, getting dressed, making your bed). This will force you to “wake up to reality.”2. TO WORK / TO STUDY. Clearly define for yourself a part of your wardrobe that would contain 5 sets of clothes that will be exclusively work clothes for you. If you don’t have such luxury, then choose a jacket or sweater for yourself, which will become a “work uniform” for you. Let it become a ritual thing for you that will be waiting for you at work. While you are walking, you are you, but once you arrive and put on your “uniform”, that’s it, you are in the process of work. And when you leave at the end of the working day, take it off and hang it on a chair, leaving it at work.3. WAY HOME. We always don't have enough time, so let's dismiss this argument right away. Just choose the “other” way home, on the other side of the street, or go around passing houses on the other side, go to another store. During such a walk, you may even notice the opening of a new store, information about discounts, or even see your block literally from the other side.4. HOME (about the interior). Have you come home and nothing pleases the eye in the surroundings? Change it (right now or wait until the weekend)! Rearrange the furniture if the square footage of the premises allows it. Or change the interior: rehang/hang the paintings, change the curtains or bedspreads, remove the usual dishes and take out those that you have never used for a long time, change “your” mug, rearrange souvenirs or books on the shelves, or buy something interesting for the interior ( a new lamp, a painting, etc.) And take a bath in a romantic or simply unusual environment for you (by candlelight, with music, bubble bath or sea salt..., pamper yourself in the bath))))) Change the type of tea or coffee, a new flavor of toothpaste, a new toothbrush, a towel, buy new bed linen or a rug...5. LEISURE (at least for 1 hour). Make a list of what you could physically do at home: from putting together puzzles, embroidering, putting together a stale closet from Ikea... to watching movies (positive!!!) or sitting on the balcony with a cup of cocoa. Select interesting music collections. And make a list of what you would do outside the home: from a simple walk around the block to going to the cinema or a billiard room... And make a schedule for 7 days, alternating home and away leisure, or during the work week - you are at home, and on the weekends - on the road.6. COMMUNICATION. Don't wait for someone to write or call you, do it yourself. But on topic of conversation.
