The topic of goodness is quite philosophical and difficult. And at the same time, so urgent and important for all of us. “Should I do good to people?” Why do you think many people have this question? Most likely because they have already been burned more than once while doing good. But popular wisdom warns us: “Don’t do good, you won’t get evil,” “The road to hell is paved with good intentions.” It turns out that doing good is not such a good thing?🤔 I think a lot depends on the motives of the one who helps, and on how much this good will really benefit the one being helped. Usually we rush to help when we see that a person is trying to solve a problem on his own, but he doesn’t succeed, or he does it slowly. Why do we want to help him? There may be several (often unconscious) motives: - we want to feel our importance and superiority; - we are personally interested in the result; - we want the person to be grateful to us - in other words, to become dependent on us. So why, why are you doing good? Have you noticed that sometimes you do good things to people, but there is no gratitude from them? Why did you decide that the one you helped wanted your help? Did he ask you for help? Do you often “do” good to other people without even being asked to? By helping someone who didn’t ask you for help, you put yourself in an obviously stronger position. And after a while, you may notice how the one whom you helped not only does not thank you, but also avoids communicating with you. This suggests that the person does not want to owe you, and secondly, he is not pleased when he is looked at as weak. So what to do now, you ask?! Don't help anyone or what?! Help, but only to the one who asked you for it ☝ (“Don’t rush to pull a person out of the water every time you think he’s drowning. Most likely, he’s just learning to swim.”) I don’t remember who said this, but I completely I agree with the author of this phrase. ✍What do you think, is it worth doing good to people? And in what cases is this harmful?***I’m waiting for you at my psychotherapy sessions 🤗You can sign up by phone +7(922)044-64-54 or on my website http://veligura.ru/
