My eldest daughter is having her graduation party very soon. She graduates from school and has student life ahead of her. I braid her hair for “Last Call,” and I remember how I recently braided my hair for my “Last Call.” I remember well the white lace apron that my mother sewed for me and the small bell with a red ribbon pinned to it. The girls and I were vigorously discussing what exams awaited us and what outfits we were preparing for the prom... Not long ago... Then, in my youth, everything was somehow brighter. And we girls were also bright, cheerful and slender. And what has changed? That girl with light brown braids has not disappeared anywhere. She has done a lot over these decades: she has become a mother, a wife, and a professional. But she is still inside me, as an adult. And this means that the world is still just as bright and in this world there are still many magnificent, interesting, pleasant opportunities! A huge world spreads out before us, just like in our youth...! And where is your slender, enthusiastic, purposeful girl now? And if you are a man, then where is that excited, strong, active young man? You are HE or SHE. So where did these beautiful people come from with the burden of problems, unnecessary relationships, excess weight or something else? something preventing you from moving freely through life? Imagine that each of us is given a suitcase, bag or basket at birth. More for some, less for others, your choice. We put our lives in this basket or suitcase. Everyone has probably packed a suitcase at some point and you know that you can carefully pack only the essentials and, perhaps, then you will miss something pleasant on the road. Or you can stuff your luggage with a lot of little things and complain all the way that you didn’t take what you needed. Also, you can take with you only the most valuable things, and then, perhaps, some little things that are missing will no longer worry you so much. Do you want to figure out what you are carrying through life? How much is valuable and how much is unnecessary in your basket? What is most valuable to you (what is in 1st place, 2nd, 3rd, etc.) and what do you never want to part with?
