From the author: The original article is on the website Many people live on autopilot. Unconscious. Sticking to your comfort zone, minimizing risks, wanting stability. They live and do not understand that they are falling into a rut of unconsciousness. Illnesses, dramas, tragedies, troubles are perceived by them as something very terrible, unforeseen, dangerous and undesirable. And everything seems to be so. But often all these negative events are nothing more than alarm clocks for us. They shake up our usual way of life, signal that we need to change something in life. Our attitude towards life, towards people, our way of life, habits, character. This can be hard and difficult work. Therefore, for many it is easier to take pills than to understand what is behind their illnesses; break off relationships rather than try to mend them; to fall into sacrifice rather than to appropriate power to oneself. There is a lot of imaginary comfort in unawareness. But it is very shaky and can be broken at any moment. And if you continue to be unconscious, then after any “alarm clock” you simply may not survive. The only way out will be to increase awareness, which is also the path to finding your inner strength. Fortunately, now there are enough resources and sources, books and people who can guide you to this path. You will not immediately accept and understand everything, you will not immediately radically change your life. But if even just from time to time you think about what and how is happening in your life, this will already be a big step. There is another important point that stops us from internal work. Internal work on yourself will make you different and different from other people. And this is fraught with consequences. Not everyone is ready to withstand disapproval, condescension, and sidelong glances from others. Not everyone is ready to expose themselves like this. If you are faced with such a situation, do not take everything personally. Remember that it is not beneficial for other people for you to change and become more aware. After all, conscious people are difficult to manage and difficult to manipulate. Therefore, they will put spokes in your wheels and hinder your movement and growth. And if in this case you decide to take care of yourself, then you will give your life to the power of other people. Stop and think - whose life are you living? Yours or the one that is convenient for others? You must choose for yourself which path is suitable for you. The path of approval from others or the path of my growth. I made a choice for myself. I'd rather be strange to others and happy inside. Than arranged and accepted by others, but deeply unhappy inside. What is your choice??
