From the author: The article describes the use of V. Frankl’s Logotherapy method. It is for those who explore themselves and their inner world. Who knows the meaning and who has lost it. For those who have everything in order, and for those who are tired of life. If you have something to live for, then you can withstand any “HOW”! “If you accept people as they are, with all their flaws, you will never make them better. If you treat people as ideal, you raise them to the height at which you would like to see them.” (Goethe) When turning to psychologists and psychotherapists for various reasons, sometimes already in a state of psychosomatic disorder with corresponding symptoms, mood disorders, depressive states, and depression of varying degrees of severity are observed. At least, while working in a preventive clinic, such facts were observed and reflected by me in the patient’s anamnesis (patient’s medical record) systematically. A similar phenomenon was sharply dissonant with clients without psychosomatics, whom I did not see in the clinic. Here, cases of depressive conditions were rare, as was the absence of depressive symptoms of my “personal clients” outside the clinic. However, I divided them into patients and clients. Then I began to notice that the hospital atmosphere itself was aggravating the situation of my patients. They came for help, and most of them “seemed to be in no hurry” to recover. This was expressed in their priority of pity for themselves who were sick and weak, the cultivation of their ailments, and resentment when using paradoxical methods. The same thing was observed among people with disabilities during my work in a rehabilitation center. But for disabled people there is a direct benefit - some of them are afraid of losing their disability for fear of losing their privileges. for example, I was surprised by a “visually disabled person” who was offered to undergo eye surgery, as a result of which he would receive a different disability group, or lose his disabled status. He refused..... Let's return to our topic. However, I noticed that using Frankl's logotherapy (including), the treatment (in the case of short-term and long-term psychotherapy) was more effective. And even with clients outside the clinic, I began to use the method of “Logotherapy - in the existential direction of psychotherapy” by the wonderful Austrian psychologist Viktor Frankl, the author of the bestseller “Man’s Search for Meaning.” Here is a link to his books, if you are interested: http://www.koob.ru/frankl_viktor/#books. These books will teach you the ability to find meaning in any situation. For whom is Logotherapy indicated? It is for those who explore themselves and their inner world. Who knows the meaning and who has lost it. For those who have everything in order, and for those who are tired of life. The mechanism of this psychotherapeutic method is: - finding the meaning of life in any manifestations of existence, - even the most terrifying ones, - in order to create a desire, an incentive to continue life. Let us remember that loss of meaning in life is one of the leading symptoms of depression (not counting suicidal thoughts and actions), which subsequently, according to the latest scientific data, can cause arthritis, as well as a concomitant factor in dementia, Alzheimer's disease, atherosclerosis, Parkinson's (data taken from a scientific conference Kazan Medical Institute, report by Kazan professor, presentation available). Therefore, in psychotherapy, using this method, we rely on the semantic reserve component of the life of the client-patient: - we seek, - we cultivate, - we suck, - we mull, - we nurture, - we cultivate - this meaning, - meaning, - MEANING! We literally change the focus of the attention of the person who turns to us from his problem to MEANING. After all, meaning gives a feeling of life! Busy! Useful! Necessities! Recognition! Completeness! necessary! Duration! Not limbs! A feeling of joy! And when we succeed, then our client is able to withstand “Any HOW”. Because meaning is a huge resource! And with depression,.
