Everything has its time. At child-parent consultations, I often come across certain expectations of parents: - the child must respect the adult; - sit quietly and listen to my instructions for more than an hour; - parents must be an authority... Etc. .A little person needs to go a long way to learn respect, perseverance, and the ability to absorb information. This is how our brain works, it recognizes the information that it can consider, which it has already encountered. This process takes quite a lot of time. Children collect information in the process of communication, learning, playing, hiking and traveling. On this path, the child gains experience, emotions, knowledge. But he will be able to analyze this information only in adolescence. Therefore, parents, teachers, psychologists can either, taking into account their competence, expand the experience gained, enrich it, or limit it (and this is sad). If you want your child to respect you, learn to respect yourself, teach your child. If you want him to not be on his phone, offer an alternative. Believe me, the child will be happy to play with you, draw, and go hiking. Let's expand the lives of our friends, both ours and our children's! It’s not enough to say - sit still, don’t be a bully! It doesn't work, and the child won't accept it! Therefore, when I plan a meeting, I take into account the child’s age, leading activity, family composition, and its history. I divide the hour into a conversation, an active part, when the parent and child can interact tactilely. They learn to hear each other while working together. And then I conduct creativity therapy. As I already wrote, in art therapy you can use joint drawing on a glass easel, when both parent and child have their own space to work, each learns to take into account the interests of the partner and negotiate. You can use sand therapy, where the child receives a unique sensory experience. Or work with metaphors and fairy tales. The whole complex is interesting for both children and adults, everyone gets a rich experience! Friends, I wish you time and understanding, both of your life and of your children. Sincerely, Svetlana Lankevich.
