We do not always choose what is important to us - for various reasons. But sometimes it is difficult for us to choose what is important, because this “important” remains not fully clarified. Throughout life, we are influenced by many stories, including stories “about success”, or “about someone else’s opinion”, or “about having to” . We are influenced by everyday events, routine and force majeure. Sometimes, under the influence of these stories and circumstances, we unconsciously push into the background what is really important to us. This simple exercise will help highlight this important thing for you, make it more visible._________________Important! !! This exercise CANNOT be used: in acute grief, in the presence of diagnoses related to a mental state (including current depressive episode, anxiety disorders, bipolar disorder, PTSD, etc.) in extreme conditions. In these conditions, there is a high risk that resorting to the exercise will lead to immersion into a problematic story If you are currently experiencing the above states, it would be more careful to turn to the techniques from this article. Take 3 separate sheets of paper and a pen or pencil (whatever you feel comfortable writing with). Set a timer for 2 or 3 minutes (this is more convenient than constantly get distracted and look at the clock). This is one of the reasons why so little time is given to answer each of the questions. In this exercise, it is important to catch exactly the first thing that appears to you when you see the question. There are no right or wrong options, bad or good. what, first of all, your psyche responds to. If you begin to experience some emotions in relation to the answers that appear, this can also be important. It may also indicate that questions related to the potential finitude of life are now very triggering and frightening for you - the psyche is not ready to come into contact with them.
