Everything in my life is generally good now. But I am in personal therapy and plan to stay there for a long time. For what? Because I want to live even better! And in the course of psychotherapy, I get to know myself more deeply, find new ways to help myself live and enjoy life, and develop mindfulness skills. I also consider this a mandatory advanced training for any psychologist. In my personal life, everything is fine now too. But my fiancée and I went to family therapy. For what? Because we want to live and build relationships even better! And in the course of family therapy, we hear and feel even better, get to know each other, learn to negotiate easier and faster. In my Telegram channel “Psychologist Ilya Blagov” I asked readers: “In what life situations do you think psychotherapy can be useful? ". Which answers would you choose? Personally, I chose all, because psychotherapy can be useful in every life situation. Of course, when you have suicidal thoughts in your head, for example, then it’s obvious that it’s time to save your life and go to a psychologist. But. If you run to a psychologist only when everything is already bad, then you lose: 1) pleasure from life, when everything is only getting worse; 2) pleasure from life, when everything is already bad and you decide to go to therapy for some time; 3) calmness, efficiency , health while being in a serious condition; 4) getting out of a serious condition is usually more difficult and longer, so here you can lose time in your life; 5) sometimes difficult-to-reversible changes in personality or nervous system may remain if you are in a serious condition for a long time ( depression, burnout, panic attacks, etc.);6) and you can also lose relationships that you really value, or not have time to say important words to the people you love. Personally, when working with clients, I help not only solve problems, but also improve the quality of life. Moreover! Sometimes sessions where you "don't know what issues to talk about" can be especially valuable. I, my fiancee, and my clients noticed this. If you want to live better, then do not wait for the point after which it will be unbearably difficult for you. If you want to live better, then the desire is already enough to go to psychotherapy. Ilya Blagov, clinical psychologist, provides psychotherapy within the framework of cognitive behavioral psychotherapy (CBT, ACT, ORCT).
