The human body is well equipped with “safety systems” - its receptors instantly respond to changes in the external environment: it gets cold - the skin becomes “goosey”, it’s hot - the body “moisturizes” to reduce the temperature, bright light - the eyes close - everything works quite quickly. But, for the most part, these are reactions of nervous excitement. There are practically no inhibition reactions for every such moment. Inhibition reactions are an area of development through experience, through the development of relaxation reactions. If a child is actively playing, running, having fun, then he is very excited! You can hear in this case - the child is overexcited! Overexcitement of young children can develop into crying - the baby is no longer happy - his body has “accelerated” just like a racing car, but he can’t slow down or relieve this excitement! Parents are often lost too - the child can scream, run around in a variety of different, and sometimes completely inappropriate places! Even parents cannot cope with it at such moments. If we are talking about public places, then the main assistant for parents is switching attention. This method always works for children, although you can hear that “our child doesn’t react to anything like that!” This is not entirely true - it may mean that the parent himself is very lost in the situation and, accordingly, the parent’s anxiety further complicates the condition baby - after all, the child is very sensitive to the state of the parents - especially the mother. If the mother can return to a calm state, then her “range” of options for switching the child’s attention expands significantly - she comes up with idea after idea - what captivates the child and he switches. And then you need to give the child more attention, support and your parental warmth - or simply put - you hug your baby and kiss him on the “top”, on the cheeks - in general, wherever you can reach him - you hug and kiss him there). Just not disturbing him, but calming him down. After these two well-known techniques, you can safely get home! And at home you already have a bath with hot (adequate) water and foam at your disposal. Relaxes pretty quickly. And then you can lie down with the baby in the crib. The baby is facing his mother (or father) with his back and, preferably, in a fetal position. Mom (dad) hugs again, embraces her - a safe space is created. You can stroke it, quietly tell them fairy tales or other stories. If you practice this before falling asleep, then the baby develops a habit - in such a ritual, arousal is quickly inhibited.__________________________________________________________ Dear readers, if you have your own experience of reacting to overexcitation of small children, you can share in the comments, if you want, of course!)__________________________________________________________ Make an appointment with me consultation - on WhatsApp 8 917 950 91 62Psychologist Kurakina Tamara NikolaevnaMy Telegram https://t.me/psiholog_online_KurakinaT
