From the author: In the last article, I promised to talk about how to keep a diary and why it is important. So, I’m keeping my promise, today I’ll talk about it, about the diary. In the last article I promised to talk about how to keep a diary and why it is important. So, I’m keeping my promise, today I’ll tell you about it, about the diary. In general, I especially recommend keeping a diary for anxious people or those who have increased anxiety. I myself am a rather anxious person, so I had a period when I just came to psychotherapy, it was the first year of my psychotherapy studies, then I kept a diary for a year every day and it helped me a lot. Let's look today at why a diary is so good and what significant advantages we can get from keeping a personal diary.1. So, first, a diary helps you calm down and respond to some of your emotions and experiences. Especially if you have no one to share some things that are important to you, then write everything in a diary, write, even if your thoughts are going around in circles, the main thing is not to show it to anyone. Write your diary with the idea that you will never show it to anyone.2. Secondly, it helps to structure your thoughts. If you are confused or cannot make a decision for a long time or not for a long time, but constant thoughts about it have tormented you. You need to make a decision. Write it all down in a diary. Write specific facts, any options, what will happen if I do this, what will happen if I don’t do this. Try to somehow combine and evaluate all this, because by reading the notes, you will be able to look at the situation, as if from the outside, and in the end, write a conclusion: what decision are you inclined to make.3. And, in the end, a diary helps you decide what is important and what is not worth worrying about. I recommend writing a diary the way your thoughts go. If your thoughts go in circles: the same thing, the same thing - write in your diary: the same thing, the same thing, the same thing, maybe in different words. But everything I want to say, even if you write the same thing over and over again. It really helps to unload, to free yourself, when something internal remains in the outside world, when it stops tormenting inside. Because a diary is a way to have an invisible interlocutor to whom you give everything, boiling, painful, unpleasant, and get rid of it. It will really worry you less in your soul and, in the end, you will feel freer and lighter. Tell us in the comments if you keep a diary. If you do, then for how long and what it looks like, well, in a nutshell: what does your diary nonsense look like, how nonsense it is, how do you evaluate it: how does it help you?
