Have you ever wondered why some of us are successful and others are not? It seems that some of us have some kind of key to success, while others have no trace of this key. So what is this key and how can you get it? In my opinion, the key to any success lies within us. It consists of our abilities, skills, our personal qualities, in the way we treat ourselves and the people around us, in our acceptance of ourselves, others and the whole world. However, I would give the decisive importance to self-confidence and one’s abilities. True confidence has nothing to do with cold calculation or arrogant self-confidence. True confidence is based on understanding oneself, accepting others, understanding that each of us can make mistakes and these mistakes are the main part of our experience. All this is the key to success. Why is it important to be a confident person? Well, imagine this, for example, I clearly know that I want to achieve a certain kind of success in some kind of activity. I realize and understand that this requires a lot of effort and a lot of barriers to overcome. But I, like any other normal person, doubt whether I will succeed?! And, of course, I will go for advice from a person significant to me. What if it turns out that this person simply tells me that I am unable to make this desire of mine come true, what then? Of course, if I am an insecure person, then my passion will immediately dry up, I will go out and probably think that yes, what do I care, this is not for people like me. And I will float with the flow of life, sensitively listening to the opinions of various others about myself, trying to take on one thing or another. In general, the behavior of an insecure person is similar to the movement of a ball; where it was pushed, that’s where it rolled. And at the same time, the feeling of hopelessness grows, life seems gray, joyless, dull. In general, a fashionable disease called depression comes and consumes an insecure person. And all just because such a person is like a weather vane, turning from side to side, adjusting to someone’s opinion and desires, just to earn approval, just to deserve attention. All this is important for an insecure person, since his self-esteem is not formed on his idea of himself as a person, but is based on the sum of the contradictory momentary opinions of others. And all this is only because of self-rejection, because of fear or unwillingness to take responsibility, because of the desire to be like everyone else, to be accepted by everyone, because of the fear of doing something wrong, or worse than others, because the desire to do everything immaculately at once (which simply does not happen in life). How will a confident person behave? Yes, he will listen to the opinion of a person significant to him, discuss all the possible pros and cons regarding his plans and intentions, and then he will decide for himself based on what he personally thinks. Of course, it’s not easy to decide to take a step that others simply may not believe in. But a self-confident person knows for sure that only by starting to move towards a goal is it possible to get closer to it. He is ready to pay with worries and mistakes for his future success, but perseverance and work will grind everything down! And that a mistake is only a step towards wisdom! And what determination for success really is is a hymn to oneself as an individual, an independent, responsible and mature individual. And all because it is important for a self-confident person to realize his inner potential, while remaining himself, without fawning and waiting for approval from the outside. Yes, this approval will come, understanding and support will come, acceptance will come, but for this, you still need to set out on a journey to pursue your dream, leading to success. Each of us has our own success story! Each of us has our own key to it - our faith in ourselves! http://raduga-art.blogspot.com/ Other articles on this topic that may be of interest to you: - Adult, parent, child - Facets of my Self - The road of life - Having fun walking together - Art therapy
