DISTANCE LEARNING. PARENTS' STUDIES. There is some provocation in the title. And it is true. The fact is that many parents are tired, do not want, do not know how, are not ready to play the role of a teacher. But, unfortunately, the situation does not depend on us. Therefore, you have to play the role of a teacher, delve into what is given, delve into new material. And this often irritates parents. I often hear from parents: “I’ve already finished school,” “I don’t want to sit at a desk for ten years again.” A normal desire of normal people. But, nevertheless, the situation is such that we have to return to school for a while, and in some strange role: either a teacher, or a parent, or a student. Parents accumulate irritation, a lot of tension and anxiety. What to do? I would suggest parents to do what in modern jargon is called “upgrading their skills.” What does it mean? This means to advance in something, to develop. What can a modern parent advance in while working with their schoolchild? Just try to solve the problems of a high school student. If you are a humanist, you will have to “creak your brains.” Why do you need this? Solving school problems is a good prevention, for example, of Alzheimer's disease, in which logical thinking is impaired and memory deteriorates. By the way, grandparents who teach lessons to their grandchildren retain clarity of thinking longer. By the way, at the same time this is a diagnosis of your thinking. How well you understand the material, assimilate it, and remember it is a marker of the integrity of your thinking. Are tasks easy for you? Can you easily divide or multiply four-digit numbers? Can he make out a word by its composition? Do you remember that bacteria are saprophytes and parasites, and plants are gymnosperms and angiosperms? And that mushrooms are not plants? What about literature? For an adult, reading the school curriculum again is a completely different experience from what you read. Read textbooks on biology, geography, physics, history, and literature. Believe me, you know a lot of this material. But you forgot something. This material is a field for discussion with your child. Previously, you did not have enough time to learn new things. Now, I hope, there is more time. And our children, seeing a parent at a textbook, seeing a parent reading a textbook with interest, also begin to be interested in the subject. You can tell your child what you learned and what you found interesting. All this can awaken the child’s interest in the subject being studied. Children often think that a textbook cannot be interesting, but if a parent is interested in something, then maybe it really is interesting.?
