To begin with, I would like to remind you once again that, contrary to the myth, which, fortunately, is now becoming a thing of the past, undergoing therapy is not a sign that something is abnormal with you, but a sign of sanity and an adult attitude towards your comfortable mental state. Psychotherapy is a long-term process of restoring contact with oneself. With your feelings and needs. This is why it is so difficult for people who are focused on quick results in life to stay in therapy - it seems to them that nothing is happening. Without seeing lightning-fast changes, they do not find the strength to support themselves for further work. And, at first glance, the format of work in long-term psychotherapy is not suitable for people focused on quick results. But it’s just the opposite, this is what they really lack – the ability to slow down and be in the process. Because when we are focused on the end result, we “skip” the whole process, and the process is LIFE. It happens that people come to long-term psychotherapy after they have tried many different ways to solve their problem, and nothing has helped, or Some of the methods and methods improved the condition, but not for long. Long-term therapy is guaranteed and without setbacks. If quick methods really worked effectively in all cases at deep levels, then we would not see so many people dissatisfied with their lives. Yes, in some cases short-term therapy can indeed be effective and undoubtedly produces results. But long-term is something else. It seems to me that they cannot even be compared, because they are about completely different things. Short-term is about understanding, help and relief; long-term - about depth, quality of life, stability, a different perception of yourself, other people, trust and openness to the world. Long-term therapy is not long - it is stable and regular, like brushing your teeth. If you calculate the size of your missed opportunities that are achieved thanks to psychotherapy, then it turns out that it pays off handsomely or is even priceless. How much is your state of self-confidence worth? Sustainability? life satisfaction? How much is your failed relationship worth? How much does it cost to get out of a crisis or depression? The most expensive resource is not money. This time. The time spent in therapy will give you an internal healthy, resourceful state, thanks to which life will be filled with new colors. And from a state of self-understanding and awareness, it is much easier to move towards some set goals.
