Good day! Today I propose to continue our conversation about fears and consider one of the techniques that I use to work with this condition. This technique works not only with fears, but it also helps to work with such conditions as: uncertainty, anxiety, etc. One of the types of work that I use is metaphorical associative cards, as they help to quickly get material for work from our psyche and come to the desired result, they also “absorb” those feelings and states with which you came, and you leave most of them here, at the session, and do not take them with you. The technique is called “House of Fear/Uncertainty/Anxiety” Initially, you see an image in front of you - a large dark house with a basement, several floors and a roof. We discuss this house with the help of images. This is the house in which your feeling lives. We are frightened by what is unknown to us, and with the help of bright pictures we “turn on” the light in this house, colored paints will appear in it and this house will no longer seem so dark and faceless to you. We will “fill” this house with life. By speaking in images, we remove a certain barrier and the discussion does not cause much discomfort. Next, using the image, we will talk about your feeling that bothers you and get to know it. It is important not to run away from it, but to look directly into it, to see what it looks like when we look at it, what features it has. And how do you feel when your feeling is like this. After this, we will go for a “walk” along the floors of the house in which your feeling lives, with which we decided to work. At the session we will explore the reasons for the appearance of fear, why this feeling came to you, what role it plays in your life now. When everything becomes clear with this, we will look for your secondary benefits that prevent you from getting rid of it. After all, very often these feelings become so integrated into our lives that they begin to bring us unconscious “BENEFIT”. It is very important to feel this in order to understand how I can satisfy these “useful things” in a different way, so that it is easier for me to get rid of my feeling. In addition, we will look at what resources you already have and activate them so that you can cope with this feeling in real life. And we will definitely discuss your first steps that you plan to take in the near future, so that this feeling stops occupying a large part of your life and influencing it.
