In this article I am looking at a child of primary school age. The most basic (and most difficult) thing is to find a way to interest a primary school child in educational activities. It may be worth turning homework into a fun game. It is very important that your child has a daily routine. So that he clearly understands what and when to do, and also gradually begins to realize that his free time, during which he can do his favorite things, games and interesting activities, will depend on the speed at which he completes his lessons. I will list the main recommendations: It is highly desirable so that the child sits down to do homework at the same time. Immediately after school, you should not burden him with homework; you should give him some time to rest. There should be no distractions around the table (TV, toys, telephone, etc.) Discuss with your child in advance the time for completing tasks, you can put a clock in front of him. Every 25 minutes, take short breaks for physical exercise. This will help relieve tension and fatigue. While working, you can also make small stops for finger exercises (we wrote, we wrote, our fingers were tired) Do not focus on the child’s failures, do not scold for mistakes. Try, on the contrary, to praise and pay attention to what he is already doing well, down to the smallest detail. (For example: how beautifully you write the letter “A”) If you notice an error in a notebook, do not rush to point it out, let the student try to look for it it yourself. Also think carefully about whether it is worth overloading the child with completing lessons in a draft, followed by rewriting them in a notebook. If you teach a child to successfully complete lessons in elementary school, then in the future learning process he will be more independent. Remember that the child, by virtue of his age, it is still difficult to maintain attention in boring classes, so try to be patient and not turn homework into a difficult and painful process.
