Most of us have at least once in our lives experienced a moment of complete apathy, it seemed that nothing else in life could bring joy, we wanted to get away from everything or close ourselves off, to find something that would at least make us smile or, on the contrary, I wanted to close in on myself. And all this happened over a long period of time. If yes, then no matter how sad it may sound, then all these are signs of a depressive disorder. Unfortunately, in our country and in most countries of the world, the Institute of Psychology leaves much to be desired and depression is not a disease as such, it is unlikely that a municipal clinic will write you such diagnosis, and not all clinics have a psychotherapist, but those who have encountered it at least once can argue with this. After all, it does not allow a person to live a full life, to enjoy what brought pleasure before, and does not bring joy from work and entertainment. The symptoms are no different from colds or heart diseases, which also cause us discomfort. The reasons for this phenomenon can be different: it can be the loss of a loved one, dismissal, divorce, separation, problems in personal life, problems with self-esteem and much more -much more. Most people do not consider this a disease, preferring “kitchen psychologists” to competent specialists, or much worse, alcohol and psychotropic substances that dull the pain (symptom), but the “disease” remains there, burrowing deeper and deeper. What to do in this case, when it seems that there is no way out? When do headaches, tears, insomnia, emotional distress interfere with living a full life? First of all, think and answer the questions: - what could be the reason? - why does this bother you so much? - can you change the current situation? - what solution to the situation do you want? are you waiting? At this stage, a psychologist is exactly the person who will help you answer these questions correctly, and to work effectively, you must understand and believe that psychotherapy can help you. If you have any questions or have found your problem reflected in this article, I am ready to provide you with professional assistance in person and in online consultations. Good health to you!
