From the author: I have loved fairy tales since childhood. Some of them left internal experiences. And here is one of them, “Crooked Duck”. Now fairy tales are a hobby for me; in my free time, I try to discover their meaning on my own. And this is what came out of it. Based on the fairy tale “The Crooked Duck.” Once upon a time there lived a grandfather and a woman. They didn't have children. They are bored. And the grandfather says to the woman, let’s go to the forest to pick mushrooms. A plot from a folk tale for children. The beginning of family life. Two adult figures of a grandfather and a woman symbolize the parents "Father and Mother". Grandfather calls grandma to the forest to pick mushrooms. In searching for symbols, I find that it is not the grandfather who is calling the woman to the forest. Mushrooms represent phallic symbols in some cultures and are associated with fertility. Everything, as with adults, a grandfather bestows love, a woman absorbs love. Honeymoon, so to speak. Here we go; A woman takes mushrooms when she looks at a nest in a bush; a duck sits in the nest. I think it’s already clear what’s going on in the family. Baba gets pregnant. The baby is giving birth. - Look, grandfather, what a pretty duck! And the grandfather says: - Let’s take her home, let her live with us! Home, they took the duck, made her a nest, lined it with feathers. Everything seems to be the same as with people. The girl is growing up, the “nest” has her own room. Grandfather and woman are still running into the forest looking for fungi. Time flies unquenchably. Before the parents have time to notice, the duck has grown up. And he already takes care of the house and goes to the well to fetch water. And this is where something very interesting happens. Parents began to run around the neighbors asking: “Did you see anyone?” Neighbors are strangers. People say, “Other people’s children grow up quickly.” They saw a girl carrying water from a well. So beautiful, just a little crooked. What can you say, a teenage girl, not yet fully formed, is just beginning to learn the basics of growing up. Look at yourself new, see your physical transformations. The appearance of something new, coquetry, curiosity about sexuality, manifestations of femininity. They say he goes to the well. So the well symbolizes the feminine principle; at the source there is a well, the union of the feminine and masculine. And this is the most subtle place, the most disturbing for parents. Yes, it’s so disturbing that the grandfather and the woman stop running around looking for fungi. And they begin to destroy the world of their daughter’s femininity. That world that has not yet had time to form. As soon as the girl walks out the door. and the grandfather and woman go to their daughter’s room. Yes, they violate its borders, check every feather. I don’t want to say that people stuff their beds with feathers. And the girl comes under complete parental control. - Do not cry! If you become our daughter, we will feel sorry for you and love you. Thus, by suppressing female maturation, violating the boundaries of the mature daughter, subjecting her to criticism, there is a chance for the grandfather and woman to get someone who is not a daughter in their old age. And a woman who does not know her worth, who is angry with the whole world, who has failed to build her family life. Well, if under this control, the girl will still be able to see the ducks flying past. And he will have time to fly out of the nest. But what should the grandfather and woman do? When were they alone? It seems. if they have not lost their feelings, they will return to the forest in search of new adventures. But that will be another story.
