Depression is not just a bad mood when you want to be sad, it’s not about being tired, it’s not about lying down and getting some sleep and everything will go away... In short, Depression is fucked up! Which covers you with a viscous veil from head to toe, completely and for a long time. Imagine that you began to see the world only in black and white and there is more black than white. Your hearing became as if your ears were blocked, like on a plane when landing. Your body weight has tripled and this makes you very slow and tired. And your internal battery runs out every half hour. There is constant fatigue in the body even after sleep. At the same time, the brain works, but very slowly, like an overheated processor. He is aware of all this snail's fuss in the dark, but his work is like a jammed record that plays the same melody over and over again, emitting creaking and hissing. And the melody is the saddest in the world, a melody about hopelessness.... Depression does not burst into our lives abruptly and unexpectedly, no, it slowly and gradually sinks you into yourself like quicksand, like a swamp that pulls you to the bottom. Any attempts to fight only take away your strength and it seems that it is impossible to get out. Depression is a condition consisting of low mood, apathy, slow reactions, fatigue, mental and physical inhibition. Psychosomatics manifests itself as feelings of depression, guilt, self-depreciation, and hopelessness. Sleep and appetite disorders, increased fatigue, gastrointestinal and endocrine dysfunctions, loss of taste, periodic impotence or decreased libido, and of course suicidal thoughts 🤷‍♂️Accompanied by difficulty concentrating, memory loss, lack of interest in any activity. Depressive syndrome is considered by specialists as a mental, multifactorial disease. That is, first of all, we are talking about a violation of mental processes (repressed, unresolved, childhood or adult psychotraumatic situations), and as a consequence somatic dysfunctions - physical fatigue, lack of vitamin D or changes in hormonal levels , consequences of taking medications or alcohol. Of course, there are different types of depression: clinical, neurotic, endogenous, including severe psychotic or subpsychotic levels, but I will not describe them here as a matter of principle. All this can be considered as a reaction to long-term #stress, but in general, depression is more of a group of diseases and psychopathological syndromes than a single disease. Because we are talking about several active conflicts manifesting simultaneously in different lobes of the brain. 🤯 Usually, when the brain is faced with an unsolved problem, it switches activity to another lobe of the brain, but if there is already a pending unsolved problem (conflict) there too. The brain will work at peak activity like an overheated processor. It will consume maximum energy for this and the efficiency will be very low. Hence the stupidity and fatigue and even more stress from the inability to solve problems 🤷‍♂️ Intersecting psi. conflicts in depression: territorial × intellectual × dissatisfaction × guilt × choice - in different combinations (I want but I can’t, for myself or for them, etc.) Depression today all over the world is usually treated with the use of antidepressants. In medical psychiatry, no one wants to unravel and search for causes 🤷‍♂️ But antidepressants are only an auxiliary tool that temporarily helps to calm down, moreover, they get used to them and the solution to the internal conflict, which is what causes the conflict, never happens.
