Curiosity is an innate quality of any child, which allows him to actively explore the world from birth. A child, like a sponge, greedily absorbs information about the world around him, satisfying his “information hunger.” The Internet has become an integral part of the lifestyle of the digital generation. This is a space for learning, downloading music and videos, posting your photos and communicating in chats, online games, etc... From this point of view, the Internet, with its abundance of information, is a breeding ground for the development of cognitive activity. What causes questions and anxiety for an adult is this is the quality, reliability and safety of the content that a child may encounter on the Internet, because neither the parent himself nor parental control systems in the form of special programs can check and guarantee what is on the other side of the monitor. Therefore, it is important for parents to become themselves “competent” Internet users, to be “on the same wavelength” with their children, discuss this significant part of their lives with them, explore new products, opportunities and risks together. Discuss and develop rules - how long do I spend on the Internet? What sites and resources do I visit? This helps to form filters and immunity to materials and information that can generally be designated as “harmful content.” We must not forget that the continuous “absorption” of information inevitably leads to overload. Excess information leads to the inability to comprehend it, to highlight something important. The very perception of information may become more fragmented and fragmentary. If we compare cognitive activity with food, then of course it is important what and how the child saturates himself on the Internet. How does he deal with the information received in his real life? It is also important to remember that the boundary between the virtual world and reality can be quite blurry for a child. Therefore, it is important not to brush aside questions that a child may have in connection with the information received on the Internet, but to give comprehensive answers to the questions, be an example for the child and be ready to get to the bottom of the truth..
