From the author: A psychologist’s work with mandalas is the archeology and futurology of the soul Dear friends! I would like to share the story of one consultation. Imagine autumn. Social and economic turmoil is ripening in the environment and depressive moods are dominant. People on the street dressed in gray and black colors to blend harmoniously with nature. So, apparently, the tone has been set, and we can begin. The girl, who for quite a long time felt ugly and uninteresting for children of her age - and her age was suitable for these social interactions - decided that this could not continue. And one day she knocked on the psychologist’s office: “I want to become bright and attractive " To which the thought immediately flashed through my mind, does she really want to become a flower in order to attract with her brightness and diversity. And then I asked what kind of flower she would like to become. To which the girl, almost without wasting time on reflection, replied: “I want to be a lotus.” To be honest, I was very surprised by such a non-Slavic choice. “Lotus? Why lotus? Look around. When we walk down the street, we constantly meet angry or dissatisfied faces, and if they are cheerful, then this cheerfulness is unnatural, but mainly under the influence of alcohol,” she continued. - And the lotus is like an incomprehensible source of light in darkness and darkness, which will, if not please, then at least surprise people. And you will be able to see a new emotion - interest and interest.” Understanding the depth of this girl’s worldview, I invited her to draw a lotus, giving her a template in the form of a circle on a sheet of paper. And after about 40 minutes I received a harmonious, almost Tibetan mandala. It combined worlds and colors, thoughts and dreams, hopes, past and future. Diversity and purity of emotions ran through the entire circle. The combination of lines was striking in its dynamism and harmony. The drawing was imbued with mysticism and an inhuman sense of space. And in the center there was a lotus glowing...When the girl finished, I asked only one question, how can this drawing be described. And she quickly and inspiredly said: “The drawing is very attractive and bright.” But he is like this only because he was made by a harmonious person, an integral personality. Is not it? “Perhaps I’m already as bright as I am, but not everyone can see it,” the girl said, thanked her and left.
