From the author: For a year now I have been writing notes “Diaries of a Slim Girl,” and now for me this is no longer just an advertisement, but a special space for reflection and experimentation. I would be interested in receiving feedback from those who read my notes. What do you think about the topic under consideration? Have you heard what a “foodie” is? A foodie is a person who attaches extreme value to food. Most often this is expressed in words similar to: “I can’t stop if I opened a pack of dried apricots or cooked something tasty. I definitely need to eat all of this!” And it sounds so natural, as if it goes without saying that food controls human behavior, and not the person himself. This kind of inverted thinking does not seem absurd to a foodaholic and is even fiercely defended. The alcoholic also fiercely defends the opinion that alcohol is even beneficial, especially wine. And a gambler can say with confidence that gambling develops thinking and reaction speed. There is also an opinion that drugs help you relax…. Do you agree with this? Want to argue? I don't want to argue. Who can I argue with, because they can’t hear me. And I don’t need this at all, I have my own life. Do you like chocolate? I like chocolate. Bitter. I especially like one brand with pieces of cocoa beans fried in caramel. This chocolate is packaged in a golden cardboard box that opens like an envelope. Before I open this box for a while, I save it for a special occasion. There must be a special mood for this delicacy. And then one day, in a quiet, calm morning, I take a cup of freshly brewed tea and walk with it to the window in the bedroom. I move a chair towards him, pull back the curtain and put a cup on the windowsill. Then I take the box of chocolate and slowly open it. I take out a sharp-smelling shiny tile wrapped in golden foil and break off one square from it. This square of chocolate has a design printed on it that looks like a star or a snowflake. I take a sip of tea and bite off a small, very tiny piece. Outside the window, clouds slowly float across the sky, and the taste of the sun and the warmth of some magical secret melt and spread in your mouth. And you don’t have to rush anywhere, you don’t have to think about anything, you can just sit in front of the window with a warm cup in your hand and let pleasant images slowly float through your mind. The tart aftertaste is invigorating and you can gradually let the morning come to your thoughts and begin to make plans. Or take another sip of tea and bite off another tiny piece of this wonderful African gift. And then, not at all noticeably, the mood becomes cheerful and you already want to move actively, change the space around you for the better, or simply do something useful. The world suddenly became clearer and more joyful, only because I allowed myself to take a little break from the everyday hustle and bustle, relax and enjoy it. And the chocolate... the chocolate that I love so much went back into the box and into the refrigerator, so that someday it could serve as a reason for pleasant experiences of enjoying LIFE. Do you think I'm a foodaholic? How close is a foodaholic who eats an entire chocolate bar in a few minutes to enjoying the moment of life? Is it possible to experience the full flavor of even the most exquisite food if you “stuff” it quickly?
