Another lesson in the course “Art therapy for children who worry their parents” and a teenager’s revelation: - Why don’t you want to go to school? - Tired of hearing for eight years about the fact that school is my job. If this is my job, then why don’t they pay me money? And indeed, if this is my job, then why don’t they pay me money? Dear parents, have you ever thought about the meaning of these words? I know families where exactly the same motive is put forward to the child so that he went to kindergarten: - We go to work, and your job is to go to kindergarten. What if you don’t like it there? If a child feels uncomfortable there? It’s like being in slavery from 3-4 years old until graduation. Who can stand this? - You know, your parents wanted to tell you that studying at school is work. The same work as in the sports section you practice kicking the ball into the goal. This is the same work as washing your face, brushing your teeth and getting dressed, going down the stairs without an elevator, walking the dog. - You’ll say the same. It's easy! - Yes, it's easy now. And when you were born, it was difficult for you to learn to walk, hold a spoon, brush your teeth and wash your face. It didn't work right away. Have you been instilled with this habit? - Should going to school become a habit? I'm already sick of this habit. - Habit is not about walking to school and back every day. The habit of training your brain. And then we simulate a situation when parents, instead of saying “school is your job,” say to the child: “Read the word, guess the riddle or rebus, make a picture, beat me in this game, solve the problem, i.e. train your brains! - What new did you learn today, tell me? - Why did the teacher, the teacher, your friend get angry, what do you think? - Why were the roses covered with sawdust in this autumn flowerbed? Encouraging observation, analysis and reasoning, that is, training the brain, should begin not in the first grade, but much earlier. In this case, directed play activity will smoothly turn into cognitive activity. A disadvantage of school education is that knowledge is communicated in a ready-made form. There is no intrigue, no “discovery of something new.” We “played” with the teenager with the words WORK AND WORK. The word WORK won. A series of articles “Inconvenient Parents and Comfortable Children” - the view of children and parents on an important moment in the life of the whole family. Dear readers, I rejoice at your responses to my reasoning and reflections! It’s a pleasure to give you articles and receive a “thank you” from you.© All rights reserved.
